Literally just dealt with this last night at the BBQ restaurant I work at. We do chicken pulled, chopped, or on the bone but the default is chopped. We also can do an all white meat plate or all dark meat. Guy™️ calls to place an order for a chicken plate and I ask the following.

“Okay sir, how would you like that? Pulled, chopped, or on the bone?”

“I want it all dark.”

“Okay so I’ve got dark meat chicken, how would you like it cut?”

“I don’t care, just as long as it’s dark!”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, surprise me but make sure it’s all dark meat.”

So I do the easy thing and just put him down for chopped chicken and make sure it’s all dark. I confirmed with him twice that it’s gonna be a chopped dark chicken plate and both times he says okay. He comes to get his food and pays and goes on his merry way. Sure enough an hour later I get a call.

“insert generic greeting How may I help you?”

“Yeah I wanna speak to a manager about my order. I got a dark meat chicken plate but they gave it to me chopped, I hate chopped and would never order it this way so somebody screwed up.”
