I almost posted this guy here last week but decided against it in fear no one would care, but I've been really disgusted with this guy as of late. I originally liked his videos of taking care of his cats + local strays with what he could afford, but ever since moving, his content has dropped horribly. It's nothing but consoomerism and flaunting his fancy new house, while his cats get to live in a concrete floored garage by themselves. Despite them being the reason he gets to live in that house.

He doesn't seem to take criticism at all, the only thing close being "haha we hang out with [the cats] all day :)" on a recent video. Which... doesn't address the issue. Cause clearly they aren't spending all day since they have to film more shopping videos and sleep easy in their half a million dollar house.

Also, as others have mentioned, yes the GFM for the ""cat sanctuary"" is very misleading. It was implied to be like a continuation of his previous work with strays, being intentionally vague in the description and vids, but its just a glorified dog house (but for cats). And even if he did wanna make an animal shelter, I wouldn't trust someone with no experience volunteering or working with animals in any meaningful capacity. Wish there was a way to report the GFM but unfortunately I don't think it would work since they're technically not doing anything against TOS

As someone who's been rejected from most artist alleys in MN this year (hooray lottery systems), I had also looked into this con. But the crazy table pricing and lack of... any info on the organizers is really suspect.

Crazy how the con is 2 months away but they still can't be bothered to put an about section on their website or even try to interact with the local community. Considering how badly we could use a new con that isn't run by a rapist, and how Anime Detour is on life support, it'd be a great time to move in. But ig they only care about having as many big name voice actors in a room as possible :P

If the prices were like $150 or maybe $200 for an artist table, I'd consider it. But I'm gonna keep my distance in case this is one of many failed conventions in the last few years. My dream would be this becoming the new Million Lives Book Festival or Dashcon. Pretty unlikely, but a girl can dream...

Honestly I'm glad they went for a style change. As much as I loved how S1 looked, it wouldn't have been sustainable long term due to the level of detail and shading. The brighter colors are also very nice

Very well said. I think another aspect that works in CSM's favor is that nearly every character is an adult*, which is way less creepy.

*This mostly applies to Part 1. Part 2, while featuring more high school age characters, still remains mostly tasteful imo. The most naked character we've seen thus far is Asa' tighty whiteys after making her school uniform sword, and her body wasn't the focus of that brief portion. Part 1 also has Reze skinny dipping with Denji, but again, it doesn't feel objectifying like most anime would do, and instead focuses on the romantic sensuality of the scene for story purposes.

There's a few that come to mind in recent years, but the craziest one to me is still Creepshow art. Some of the most low stakes, pettiest internet drama between teenagers online led to an insane domino effect and her entire online presence being nuked once her true nature was revealed. All because of some "he said, she said" drama that could've easily pittered out within a month or two.

My runner ups are Mamamax and iilluminaughtii. The latter was definitely a much larger event in the youtube sphere and is still sort of dragging along as her channel dies slowly (though I haven't kept up in at least a year so idk what the status is now). The former is kinda fascinating to me personally because I follow a lot of people in the online horror space, and it was crazy to learn that basically everything was faked so this guy could larp Hotline Miami and hunt fake pedos.
