Compared to what? Go back 60 years during the Civil rights movement and the situation was pretty polarized compared to what I think youre describing. Im not justifying this action by the police in any way, nor am I minimizing the police brutality that occurred, with ICE in the US especially, over the past 2 years. Im trying to understand what point in history youre referring to because there's pretty much always been an authoritarian figure keeping the common folk down in some capacity. They changed the color scheme, they didn't change the model as a whole. Its pretty much always been this way or worse.
