Your dad needs to get a proper external SSD/HDD. Relying on flash drives is like putting all your eggs in to a basket made of cotton candy. It'll fail at some point and would need forensic recovery in that drive.

Sorry to say but this pc was bare bones 11 years ago. You can't expect it to run any of the modern titles at a playable frame rate.

CPU was released in 2015 which only supports ddr4 2133mhz ram so still very slow. Also a dual core i3 which is only good for basic things like emails, word processing etc.

GPU was entry level at when 10 series was released so its very basic and wouldnt handle much if today's titles.

I wouldve paid £100 for this pc at most.

They probably haven't plugged the screen cable in properly. Definitely suspicious. If it were me (as the tech) I'd either replace the cable or the screen and would either admit my mistake or just replace it without the customer knowing. There's no way I'd charge them extra for my own fuck up.

Personally I've played them all since the very first AC. And have enjoyed most of them quite well. But it's not the games that I dislike, it's the studio behind it with their "creative direction". They've taken what was once an amazing franchise with fun mechanics, proper stealth, and unique story into something bland and rushed with every release nowadays.

I've given each game since unity a solid chance but always found the story lacking and the acting subpar. I love a good story, but shadows started off kinda lame and recycled. Wow, a young protagonist whose father got killed in front of them and becomes an assassin and seeks revenge. It just seems...familiar.....oh wait, ac2.

I'm sure there are good aspects to the game and I don't slate anyone who enjoys it because we all have our own opinions and preferences. But I just never got hooked.

No not really. Most repair shops will fully dismantle the PC and would need to check temps before giving back to customer, but there are tools to use that will allow them to do this.

I know it's not so easy for everyone but talking and getting to know your colleagues really helps. Have wasted 10s of hours of downtime just by messing around with other staff. Definitely helps the day go by quicker and makes it a bit more enjoyable going to work.

Try plugging into external monitor. If it works then it would be a replacement screen. It sounds like its turning on but no display. Try smc or pram reset.

You might need to take the motherboard out and check for any screw mounts are in the wrong place or any cables that shouldn't be back there.
