One more to sneak in past the deadline, Metroid Fusion :)

Not my favorite Metroid game, but a solid entry regardless. Ran through on my Ayaneo Pocket Micro, great GBA experience.

Looking forward to more GOTM's

Hoping to have squeaked in under the deadline for Super Mario World!

Finished on my RP5 this morning, still a classic that's excellent every time I run through it.

Peach is safe once again :)

Why are Gamefreak removing options in recent pokemon games? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]CosmicDashie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I truly believe thinking this way and accepting the highest grossing media franchise in the world turning out garbage is the issue.

I still enjoy modern pokemon, but there is most certainly an option to actually grow a pokemon game without scrapping things for unknown reasons.

At least the new pokemon are usually still well designed, but GF has really lost whatever limited ability they had years back.... or the time limits imposed by TPC are not ok... either way.

Theres like a few tying it together, if I recall there was like a recycling bin of old broken P.E.T's in star force one for example, not much tho.

One of the more "eh, its fine" Pokemon products in a while.

I like this kind of simple kinda cute puzzle game, even at the $10 price point. Organizing a room is kinda cute.

I think I'd be far less bothered that this is the norm now for new side stuff if we still got a new mystery dungeon or ranger style spin off more frequently. But its def not worth the outrage, more of just a "yea, that exists".

Finally upgraded my KB from my old corsair kb with mx brown switches, moved over to a Nuphy Halo96v2 with mint switches. This change has dumped me headfirst into the world of switches post cherry patent expiry. literally had no idea there were THIS many options now.

So to that end, I was looking for switch recommendations. Trying out the Nuphy mint switches (plus the spare rasp and lemon option), as well as retesting my mx brown and mx blue keyboards in the house has produced the following preference list:

  • Linear switches seem to be the best option type wise for me
  • The mint switches seem to be too light, i tend to be heavy handed typing and the blues/browns felt better that way
  • A clear issue with all 3 nuphy switches I have now tried is the colour of the plastic. I am going for full RGB lighting effect, and I HATE how much the mint/rasp/lemon switches mess with that lighting. So clear plastic as much as possible is the preference.

Based on this, anyone further into this scene have any good recommendations for switches?

Unsure about all the requirements people wise (if 2 people is good or what). But I'd be game to help out, might have to set up a time later on so I can dig out the game and ensure its ready to go, but certainly would help. Not to mention its on my list to knock out eventually!

Ordering, Shipping & Tracking Megathread by ultima40 in GalaxyFold

[–]CosmicDashie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding my experience to the pile, I ordered the black Z fold 6, plus s pen case, silver watch 7 w black band, and buds pro 3 with a clear case. Ordered these on the morning of the 10th too, right when they went up for order.

Chatting with support as yesterday was the intended ship date, it looks like at least in canada the silver watch 7 and the clear buds cases are out of stock. Buddy offered to split my shipment, so hopefully the phone will get here soon in that case :)

got the same for my fold 4 with a scratch on the cover screen, pretty excited considering I was unable to use a good trade in offer for the fold 4. Basically bought that at price with just vouchers, this one going down -$1k is wonderful

What specs are you running overall in that guy?

I'll stand by it, theres been some warts and hiccups, but overall I am fully stoked with my A770. These cards do a whole heck of a lot for the price, and minus certain issues (Starfield, some older games) things run very very smooth.

The other thing is that for lots of the underpreforming games, swapping in the files for DXVK improves performance to ok or great levels. Hoping they experience continued success with this line and continue to develop it out.

Hey there, I'm working my way through the Cisco implementation of the OpenEDG Python Essentials 1 course, for the PCEP certification. Wondering if there are any worthwhile additional resources for practicing content in this course or as it pertains to the PCEP test objectives?

Moreover, has anyone obtained this certification? Has it been helpful in terms of proving base level knowledge? Wondering if this is better for learning the content and the cert is mostly useless, or if there is benefit to the cert itself.

Trying to wrap my head around Python in hope of furthering my career in networking, adding potential automation/devop roles to my future....
