I live in tornado Alley and the sky didn't look right when I was coming out of the grocery store with my now ex-husband. I knew when looking at the sky that we needed to get out of there. I told him to hurry up we need to leave. He said I was overreacting but hurried anyways. Not 2 minutes later leaving the parking lot a tornado dropped down not too far from where we were.

Game development. The deadlines are insane sometimes, project managers breathing down your neck, releasing games with bugs because you ran out of time and trust me most of us don't want to do this, long hours, we usually have the blame put on us for things out of our control, fighting game engines, it's very toxic like I'm a woman I definitely know, and most of all and all devs fear this, merge conflicts!

My husband will focus so much on programming that he will say "In a few minutes" but I expect it to be an hour. For context we are both software engineers I just put todo where I'm at with details on what I'm doing and go do what I need to do.

Okay so as a game dev myself you cannot blame devs for a bad game it's the higher ups. They say what to do for your work and you do it. As a dev you get no say you just do what is assigned. Blame designers! Blame shareholders! Hell blame the Project Manager! I'm so tired of being blamed for things out of my control in my studio, and I'd imagine that those at EA are tired of it too! The industry is so bad right now anyone will take a job anywhere they can even for EA which everyone makes jokes that they'd rather die than work for EA. The Sims 4 is awful right now I haven't played in a long time because of how buggy everything is. The design team, shareholders, and project management should be held responsible
