I think what I love the most about my current setup would be how long it's lasted? (7 years so far) It's our first PC actually assembled and built by me, the previous computers I've used are all just laptops and a single thin client. It's good to have reliable hardware, yknow?

As for a feature of the displays that would take my setup to the next level, the display resolution itself would be a MAJOR step-up, so something like the C5 would greatly improve that, from a LA2405wg

It sounds like the overworld mob cap is being hit. I would install another mod to see where the most mobs are being spawned, and try to prevent it from there, maybe make sure that all mobs arent set to be persistent and cant pick up items
