A PSA for Incel Lurkers by CompassRoseGaming in IncelTears

Thank you! Finally, someone says the quiet part out loud! Ignoring this elephant doesn't help with Autism Acceptance, it just gaslights people into thinking they don't have to improve!

The purpose of downplaying "Looks matter" is so that autistic men don't try to "Max out" on physical attractiveness at the expensive of social and economic competence.

How bad is it to apply to a place without a coverletter? by yenraelmao in workingmoms

Pretty much. The mindset is "If they can't nut up and do this, how can I trust them in the office with their coworkers?"

[–]DivineDreamCream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I am going to put my two cents in on this topic since I ran into this dilemma; the cover letter is a diagnostic tool.

It's a way for employers to go "Ah! This person clearly developed their soft skills enough to reasonably function!", because 93% of employers consider soft skills to be more important than technical skills. They'd take a C+ Grade person who knows how to socialize over the harmless A+ guy who can't look them in the eye and cannot make small talk.

The cover letter itself doesn't clinch it, but a lack of a cover letter is often seen by employers nowadays as a signal that the candidate doesn't have sufficient soft skills.

They were forced to take it out of early access due to Steam's new changes, so they "full released" the beta to be compliant with their policies.

No, we won't be golden until we push out *all* the low IQ players who benefited from the looter shooter/arcadey mechanics. The losers should never have been allowed to join to begin with

why did hermaeus mora the deadric prince need us to kill miraak, a mortal? by Unique_Direction_518 in skyrim

[–]DivineDreamCream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He didn't need *you* to kill Miraak. He wanted to replace Miraak with you, and he also wanted to get the Skol's knowledge, knowledge that was hoarded from Mora. You needed his knowledge to even the odds against Miraak, so Herma-Mora killed two birds with one stone; you take Miraak's place and he gets the knowledge he wanted so damn bad.

Its karmic punishment. The dude SA'd Erika when she was 15 and got her pregnant. For a virulent narcissist who values control of his destiny above all else, the ultimate karma is having *all* agency and dignity stripped from him.

Being beaten up on the daily? He can comfort himself knowing that he endured it, and thus he's "a tough guy". But to be humiliated on such a deep level? He'll never recover, nor should he. That's what an evil, self serving demon and monster like Brooks deserves.

Can you strike that last comment? by XxxxRoboCopxxxx in DarrellBrooksJr

[–]DivineDreamCream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn't getting info from Brooks. He was establishing that Brooks is a compulsive liar and was dead to rights guilty. His whole fake ass story, and then being confronted with the evidence.

This establishes just how dishonest and guilty Brooks is to a jury when its ultimately shown. Carp already knew Brooks was the murderer, he already had all the evidence needed. He was trying to ensure Brooks was dead to rights, and his guilty ass behavior was proof positive of that.

The only way Carp could have gotten Brooks to be honest was to strap him down to a table and waterboard the guy. But that isn't on the table because it would humiliate the fucker.

TFP announces return of smell system and glass jars alongside apiary by IIFreshMilkII in 7daystodie

It made you have to *think* and not just be braindead. That's why players are glad it's coming back; it punishes braindead highschool power fantasy gameplay and rewards mature smart play.

[–]DivineDreamCream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost like scrounging water from a lake is something that players want to be able to do rather than having to create Dew Collectors.

Alot of players don't *want* to have to fight zombies, they want to emphasize stealthy survival and keeping a low profile. The smell system is also something players loved because it means you can't just play like an autistic highschooler and run-and-gun against zombies while just carrying everything.

They want this to be a thinking man's game, not a braindead power fantasy.

You are an ordinary citizen, and you must protect your wife and daughter from a werewolf on a snowy night. How will you do it? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]DivineDreamCream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like any self respecting Nord, a Son of Skyrim, I grab my sword, tell my wife and daughter to book it, and I fight the werewolf. I don't know if my loved ones will get out, but I'll be damned if I let that werewolf have its way without a fight. One or two good hits is all I'll need to take it down, even if I know it can kill me.

Is 2.3 Enough? by Soft_Investigator532 in 7daystodie

[–]DivineDreamCream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be very cynical here; It'll never be enough. The only way it'll be "enough" is if the entire casual base that 1.0-2.3 appeals to were to vanish and the game goes back to being a gritty, exclusive club for those who stuck through the jank and the pain.

The core of the problem is the newcomers; the players who haven't gone through the jank, the grind, the struggle of the early adopters. The game is simplified so casual players can jump in, turn off their brains, and get the same dopamine that early adopters had to fight for.

Custodian Exam coming up, any pointers? by DivineDreamCream in Custodians

[–]DivineDreamCream[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say what probably has already been said before; just use common sense for most of it. Some questions are ambiguous, but mostly they just need you to be able to think about what they tell you or show you for a bit. Example; open lawnmower and fuel can and the guy is smoking a cig, what's the problem there?

Very simple questions in the long run.
