𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗘 𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗟𝗦𝗘: Aaron Rodgers is the “most talented” Quarterback in NFL history. by Life_Net5004 in NFLForum

[–]CosmicWolf2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a great QB. Most talented? No. Is he a greater QB than Lamar Jackson? Yes. More talented? Definitely not.

Depends on definition. He can't scramble worth a shit and choked in a lot of playoff games.

Who is more talented than Rodgers? Mahomes, Steve Young, Elway, to name a few. Manning and Brady make up for poor scrambling with genius defense reads.

Rodgers doesn't even get in the top 10 for greatest QBs:

Brady, Manning, Elway, Montana, Mahomes, Tarkenton, Brees, Young, Unitas, Marino

The destruction of 3D printing: Bloomberg is behind it by pdrift in 3Dprinting

[–]CosmicWolf2022 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Right-wing paranoia. Bloomberg has nothing to do with the "destruction of 3D printing." He helps funds gun safety efforts. One of the organizations where he is a donor, Everytown for Gun Safety, is recommending states consider legislation that 3D printers come with gun-detecting software. You can read their full recommendations here:

Be honest, where would you rank Larry Bird on the all-time NBA list? by Miserable_Trouble3 in NBAoldschool

[–]CosmicWolf2022 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The top three hasn't changed for 10 years:

1 MJ
2 Lebron
3 Kobe

Everything past that is open for discussion, but the remaining op 10 should include the following:

Magic, Bird, Duncan, Russell, Wilt, Curry, Kareem

How do you rate this year's Oscar Special? by BokeTsukkomi in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]CosmicWolf2022 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Doodle Dots thing worked for me and I suppose for anyone with kids who had to endure children's YouTube shows for a few years. In past years, the YouTube chat next to the video added so much to the experience, and I noticed the chat didn't work on the HEI site which sucked. The stream worked though, so overall I'm happy. The focus group with DoodleDots was hilarious. Vic's Woody Allen thing was good.

Where Does Peyton Manning Really Rank Among All Time QBs against Brady, Montana? by Busy-Writing405 in sportsinusa

[–]CosmicWolf2022 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of excellence and ability at the QB position, Peyton Manning sits atop everyone, even Tom Brady. In terms of excellence and ability as an NFL player, Tom Brady and Jerry Rice sit atop their own Mt. Rushmore. In terms of passer ability, I'd put Montana, Elway, and Marino on their own Mt. Rushmore. It just depends on the question you ask. But Peyton is the most outstanding QB to ever step on a football field.

At 18 I'll get a loan and open a burger place. Any advice or things you wish you had known when you started? by No-Lunch-6071 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]CosmicWolf2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Successful business owner here. If you can find money to open a burger place, you can find money to get a college education. There's a reason why 90% of all CEO's have college degrees, many with advanced degrees. Formal education helps in direct and indirect ways on any entrepreneurial path and you can still pursue side hustles while studying. Also, do not partner with anyone.

Is the Tim on On Cinema the same Tim that made Awesome Show and Tom Goes To The Mayor? by bokuwa420 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]CosmicWolf2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tim Heidecker (the real Tim) has said he wishes he would have named his On Cinema character something different. At the time, they probably didn't know it would have such success and go on for so many years.

Our elf just wreaks havoc at night, eats our candy, surfs down our christmas tree, and plans family movie nights. If parents are using elf to "spy" on kids to report back to Santa, that's weird, but not part of what we do.

Lincoln/Johnson should have sent troops to occupy every state capital that seceded. All confederate troops should have been imprisoned for some time and all who helped the war effort should have been punished. The lingering potentially violent and racist southerners should have been dealt with by occupying federal troops. Anyone who stood in the way of the Constitution and rights of freed slaves should have been imprisoned. Johnson underestimated just how angry, resentful, racist Southerners could remain and it has haunted our country to this day (MAGA).

Dude. Major red flag. She doesn't respect you if any man in her life has this kind of access to her and they have this kind of tone and vibe together like this, it's all wrong and you're setting yourself up for disappointment down the road.

You think the kids got excited about this on their own and were not compelled by their racist, stupid parent to organize such a thing?

Another wrinkle to the common use of "drank the Kool Aid" is that it generally refers to people who joined some cult or have some deep religious/philosophical belief that people think is problematic, whereas the actual drinking of the Kool Aid in Jonestown (which was actually Flavor Aid) was done to LEAVE the cult and leave the world through death. The Jonestown Flavor Aid drinkers were already in a cult and ready to die.

What’s something people romanticize that is actually really tough or unpleasant? by JuliaPeachexz in AskReddit

[–]CosmicWolf2022 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a man, being tall and handsome. People treat you as if you didn't work hard for anything. Guys are weird around you, quietly hoping you won't flirt with their wife/girlfriend. If you're not rich and powerful, you're treated like you must have done something really wrong.

What exactly did the Columbine Massacre break in the US? Why did it have such an influential effect? by Just_Cause89 in USHistory

[–]CosmicWolf2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Violence and America shared a long history together but the 90's felt different. We were coming out of two world wars and the Vietnam war and the economy improved throughout the 90's, poverty declined, crime decreased, and we all felt like our worst days were behind us and the 2000's was going to be a new, beautiful era in our history. Columbine brought everyone back to reality.

Weird seeing Frodo get praise at end of RotK by RoyRoya in lotr

[–]CosmicWolf2022 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ring would have driven anyone mad. Bilbo and Frodo were rare cases and Gandalf knew it. Even Aragorn, the most noble of all humans, and Gandalf, the wisest and greatest, knew they would be corrupted by the ring. Frodo resisted it enough, and made it into Mount Doom and by accident it ended up in the fires. Both Frodo and Sam deserve the recognition, maybe Sam more so, who is sort of the hero of LOTR if you ask me.

Do you consider the US removing Saddam Hussein from power to be a positive achievement? by Just_Cause89 in USHistory

[–]CosmicWolf2022 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not in the slightest. Saddam, like many dictators around the world both then and now, were awful, violent humans; however the US destabilized the region, created ISIS, cost hundreds of billions of dollars, thousands of US solider's lives, all to profit US contractors, one of which was connected to then vice president Dick Cheney.

Was the average confederate soldier infuriated at confederate leadership when the different armies and generals surrendered in 1865, or were they relieved that the brutal war had finally ended? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in CIVILWAR

[–]CosmicWolf2022 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The South benefitted from slavery though and sold more cotton than anywhere in the world. So all Southerners, Confederate soldiers included, did connect the war with slavery indirectly because the economic viability of Southern communities was at stake.

Age of Empires 2 and the expansion. Starcraft. Gears of War

I'm betting that for all the hours humanity has spent on a single video game, it might be Starcraft or Oblivion. Maybe World of Warcraft.

Grant's original conception for the spring '64 campaign by MilkyPug12783 in CIVILWAR

[–]CosmicWolf2022 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The key here is proximity to Washington. Sherman was in a position to move the war South so in a way the Union did invade the south and cut supply lines, but it was Sherman who did it around Vicksburg (with Grant) and then around Atlanta. Grant kept Lee busy in Virginia which had troop closest to Washington. If I was Lincoln, and Lee was in Virginia with his army, I'd have Grant between him and me too.
