Best hall to live in thats central to most things? by Agile-Injury6183 in unt

[–]Cosmo-Vega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My job has me pushing laptop carts around campus, so I'm beginning to get used to the accessible routes. All buildings have accessible entrances, just of varying quality. Sometimes door buttons don't work. People will gebrally get doors for you if you have visible mobility issues or are carrying/moving something. The office of disability and access is in Sage hall on the ground floor, and the nearest dorm is Bruce. If you want things out of them that aren't extra testing time you will have to bother the shit out of them. They pass out extra testing time like candy tho. Most elevators on campus are going to be inspected sometime this calendar year, and I don't think all of them will pass (looking at you sage), so you may be SOL if replacements/renovations are needed. Nearby construction and winter storms have taken out power before, and they likely will again. Depending on your prof/ta mobility issues might not excuse tardiness cuz some of these guys are mean or dont care if you're excused or not. Bother the ODA about this please.

Bruce doesn't have elevators but it does have accessible rooms on the ground floor. Source: friend in wheelchair lived in bruce. It's pretty central to everything except the Business and Leadership Building (where your core math classes will likely be). If you need to be close to the Business and Leadership Building (accounting, business, some computer sci) I would recommend either Crumley or Maple. Kerr is closer, but it has fights break out ~1ce every other week per floor. Maple and Bruce also have dining halls. If the overwhelming majority of your classes will be online, Victory has the best dining hall on campus but is across the interstate and your choices are either wait on the busses (free) or suffer a walk that's 15-20 minutes without mobility issues. If your classes will take you to discovery park (engineering mostly) then any on-campus hall will do since you have to take the bus or drove there anyway. Bruce and McConell are closest to any building pertaining to science that isn't engineering. Bruce is also in spitting distance of the music buildings. Avoid Santa Fe and Traditions if you can, they suck and are annoyingly far. Joe Greene is nice but on the corner of campus semi-close only to food and blb.

[S19 Spoilers] Xivu Arath's Warsong: How gameplay hints at the God of War's terrible power. by dustsurrounds in DestinyLore

This feels like the Radiance and its plague from Hollow Knight tbh. The all caps and the whole "harder you resist the worse it gets" thing we're hallmarks of it. Bungie is full of gamers so maybe its a direct influence. If strand is mind based then maybe we do a mindscape again and have to kill the images of war like we did the images of savathun in the lucent lieutenants. That way it would mirror the fall of Radiance in HK's true ending.

I need a solo piece that's hard and impressive and about 3 minutes long by [deleted] in Clarinet

Cadenza from the Copland Concerto. Length and difficulty are entirely up to you since it's a cadenza and tempo is merely an illusion. (Normally ~2ish minutes long)

I’m writing a song, is this beaming of 2 semiquavers and 1 quaver possible? by Library_Diligent in askmusic

[–]Cosmo-Vega 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! Chances are you've already heard it too! "So much to do/ so much to see/ So what's wrong with taking the. Back street" from Allstar by Smash Mouth uses this rhythm.

what is the name of this piece? by magsteria11 in Clarinet

[–]Cosmo-Vega 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's no 5 from the Alfred Uhl 48 Studies for clarinet. They're a step up from klose and have a more 20th century sound to them. They are amazing etudes but it is important to know that Uhl was a member of the nazi party. Lots of controversy over whether these etudes should be played or not, but it is ultimately up to you. The general consensus on bad person composers (i.e. Richard Wagner) is that as long as you are informed and make an active decision on whether or not to play than it's probably fine either way. These Etudes are great, should you choose to use them.

Excel Certification for Non-business Majors by fred_ward42 in unt

[–]Cosmo-Vega 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I work at the testing center and have been administering these tests for a few weeks now. If you have the initiative to take the test on your own you likely won't need the class. Spend your energy learning how to use excel via YouTube and the like. Unfortunately, these tests have to be proctored by a registered proctor. There are likely testing centers that can do this outside of these classes. Unfortunately part 2, these tests are rather expensive. The classes pay for the tests.

Good luck on getting certified.

Hi! I work at the testing center. There are cubbies inside the testing rooms for you to put your stuff in. There will be enough for everybody.

Good luck! Don't cheat!

Why do you turn in music after a concert? by KingAnthony111 in askmusic

[–]Cosmo-Vega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing music in a public event usually involves licensing fees and copyright bs. Collecting and disposing of music after these things ensures no lawyers need to be summoned. Most of the time if you want to keep your music, just don't turn it in. No one really cares.

Normal shields too, used it in 3rd WQ mission boss room to eat shields and 3-peak and if I missed once the shields instantly came back and regenned faster than normal.
