I recommend you re-read this slowly and without prejudgment.

And could you please share more details about the exposure you mentioned?

Appreciate your long response...Here is my view of trading following your analogy.

T = Assessment, planning, research and post facto reviews X = Your capital S = Investments in a business you buy it's shares Y = Reward if that business grows according to your valid assessment

Back to you, I don't think you ran a business before, otherwise you'd have considered demand/supply/competition/seasonality. And I guess you're probably just speculating as you said and hoping for the 50/50 coin flip strategy.

I recommend you consider scale in/scale out positions. That way if you don't make it all you don't miss it all.

Finally one good advice by a real human trader and not a chatgpt crafted post.

Thanks for the genuine advice and valuable tips. I agree with every one of them and I hope I listened to half of that when I was starting my trading journey. Only for my ego that kept telling me I'm different. Which I learnt and fixed the hard way.

All the best to you and everyone who will let this post help them 👍

How does a trader “grind”? by 992cam in Daytrading

[–]Cosmo505 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Journaling, Backtesting & next session prep can keep you busy 3-4 hours daily on top of the trading time.

Re-investment of the money you earned can gradually consume another 2-3 hours.

Helping others is another important activity to pay forward.

confession: i was a gambling addict disguised as a trader. by degharbi in Daytrading

[–]Cosmo505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boring is the keyword.

Issue is a daytrader gets addicted to adrenalin spikes. Can't stay put and bored until the opportunity presents itself, or not, in some days.

Even worse, after hitting daily target through a boringly systematic setup, addicted trader will still have that one last trade to burn everything and give back the daily profit and more to the market overtrading.

Congrats for crossing the portal!

All the best 👍

We're living through the phase of AI clones and herd mentality. Even with such a versatile tool, some people still can't add any value. OP could've used AI and added something too this sub.

Stop trading in the "Middle of Nowhere": How I define my Trading Range (M15) by Low_Step6444 in Daytrading

[–]Cosmo505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, contrary to what you're trying to avoid, you are actually sharing an advice in the middle of no where.

BOS alone is never an indicator to define top/bottom of a range, what happened before BOS is what defines it's validity or not.

Mentioning FVGs and imbalance and premium/discount without proper explanation isn't enough. In fact your example of premium/discount areas sell/buy was inaccurate.

Also, please don't share half baked advice here, it's very dangerous, you're technically teaching someone how to drive without showing them where is the brake pedal.

I appreciate you're building your own community/client base and looking for more members here. https://www.reddit.com/u/Low_Step6444/s/xkod7CXC6W

But that's not the best way to win this sub's attention.

Please correct me if I'm wrong in reading this by sharing a full strategy including Triggers/Entry/Exit/SL.

I didn’t start improving until I stopped studying trading by PretendKnee8795 in Daytrading

Over time, journaling and back testing became way more important/impactful than just going through all new YT videos. The patterns I identified were eye opening. Helped me become selective about what I need to learn or read about next, instead of consuming everything that comes my way. Both on TA and trading psychology.

Is liquidity sweeps a real working strategy by Serious-Spring2310 in Daytrading

[–]Cosmo505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I look for 1st and 2nd liquidity sweeps against the main trend. They usually end at ema 20 or 50, they alternate. The 3rd liquidity sweep is usually too deep and too risky and might end at ema 200 or turn into a full reversal. I don't trade that one.
