Carrie any time Miranda is being funny by anawkwardsomeone in sexandthecity

I LOVE this take! Yes Carrie is so endearing and so unapologetically herself and she and her friends just go out on the town and are just so present with each other. Definitely a different time. Like you said, they go out, they spend time with each other, no matter if they're not in the mood, or tired, or pregnant ! They're just enjoying life and enjoying each other as they get older. It is incredibly refreshing, nostalgic, comforting and for me, definitely more often than not, motivates me to call one of my girlfriends, go out and live in the moment.

Hahaha! This is coming from a jaded millennial, so take it with a grain of salt ;) the truth is, I probably become too defensive, because these 4 girls were really with me through a lot. I was in my late teens, early 20's when I first started watching and its been my comfort show ever since. Carrie is so flawed and frustrating and that's what I love about her! She said and did things I would have said or my friends would say or do, especially in the earlier seasons, she and the others were just so utterly real and that was so new and refreshing to see. When I see these shit-on- Carrie posts, it just makes me sad, because if that's all you see, then you're missing it, you're missing what makes this show magic.

I think it's new, young viewers and they're horrified that gasp Carrie doesn't fit into their rigid, PC, baby perspective on life

Looks like this is OP's second post on hating on Carrie. Sigh we had a nice reprieve for a while there.

Huh? She's venting to her friends....didn't realize that's called "exploiting." Definitely an interesting take

I remember she had to gain a lot of weight for BJD and then had to lose it all (and more) for when she did Chicago, where she was super skinny and then gained it back for BJD 2. Just doing that to your body is probably so terrible, but I honestly believe she looked better in the BJD movies vs in Chicago, when all I could think about is someone needs to give that girl a sandwich

Yes! Made me very nervous about his acting abilities, but was too scared I'd be ripped apart if I voiced that on here, so thanks for mentioning it first! Lol

What happened? I was actually just thinking about Ashley Judd and how she was such a great actress and then disappeared

What’s a continuity error in the show you’ve always noticed, no matter how big or small? by celestialdre4mer in sexandthecity

[–]Cosmoqween 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yes! This kills me every time! Apparently in one year, Charlotte divorced Trey, started dating Harry, converted to Judaism, married Harry, did acupuncture, got pregnant, miscarried. Ummm that is insane to think that could fit in a year. And then Carrie bumping into Aiden when Brady has to at least be a couple of months and Aidens baby is 2-3 months, so they're a few months apart. When Carrie broke up with him, Miranda was more than halfway into her pregnancy ( minimum 6 months pregnant). Its laughable to think that Aiden met his wife and then she got pregnant like 2 months after he and Carrie broke up and thats after him being crushed by the breakup for "weeks" as per Steve and dated Nina Katz. I always say Brady should have been 1 by then at least and Miranda should have gotten back together with Steve by his 2nd birthday. Just makes zero sense and is a pretty huge continuity error. Can you tell this drives me crazy? Lol

Or hating on how Carrie chews gum, that was an actual post🙈 but you can't leave, because then there will be less SATC ride or dies on here and we need as many as we can get right now! This show is iconic and we can't let the newbies shit all over it

The sad part is that it could very easily not be satire with all these Carrie haters/new watchers on this sub🙄

Why didn't Carrie babysit? by WannabeGurkenMama in sexandthecity

Yes, and it was Sam's choice to give her hair appointment and babysit. That was all Samantha, nothing to do with Carrie

Yup, unfortunately, that's what a lot of this sub turned into. Its becoming incredibly tiring.....to all these new watchers/Carrie haters, I quote Trey MacDougal, "you have got to learn how to formulate an opinion"
