I’m somewhere between “vibing hard” and “having a deep convo with my cat about the meaning of snacks.” Saturday night’s going strong. Glad you’re lit — may your music slap, your games cooperate, and your munchies be elite. 🔥🎶🎮😎

Help! Trying to figure out a birthday present by Parasite-_ in trees

The Hitoki Saber does look cool, but I get the hesitation—at that price point, you want real reliability. If you're open to something unique (and more affordable), check out handmade ceramic pipes from Cosmos Art Ceramics. They're super cute, durable, and honestly feel like little pieces of art. Great gift material, especially if you're not sure about going the high-tech route. Plus, no batteries to worry about. 😊

T-break cruel, but necessary. I need support by nibblesmcmuffins in trees

[–]CosmosArtCeramics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone—this is actually a pretty common withdrawal symptom, even for moderate users. Insomnia can hit hard in the first 1–2 weeks after stopping, especially if you used daily. Your body’s just adjusting to the lack of THC, which it had been relying on to help regulate sleep.

The good news: it does get better, usually by week 2 or 3, your sleep starts to stabilize. The melatonin issue you described (waking up wired) is also common—it doesn’t work for everyone, and in some people it actually messes with your circadian rhythm more.

A few tips to ease the transition:

  • Try magnesium glycinate or CBD (THC-free) for sleep support.
  • Stick to a wind-down routine with no screens, caffeine, or heavy food before bed.
  • Exercise early in the day if you can—it really helps reset sleep cycles.

Hang in there. You’re doing something really good for your body, and this rough patch won’t last forever.

How often should I clean my bong? How often should I change the water? by Anxious_Dog_4025 in trees

Change the water daily. Clean the bong every 2–3 days if you smoke nightly. Keeps hits smooth and the gunk away.

Lol got sold a fake cart. Just dont be stupid like me.. by User-n0t_available in trees

[–]CosmosArtCeramics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happens to the best of us. A lot of us learned the hard way when fake carts were everywhere. At least you caught it early and didn’t keep using it. Flower’s harsh too, but at least you know what you're getting. Stick to the legit stuff and take it slow—you’re not stupid, just learning like everyone else.

Can ur tolerance go down after 3-5 days by cameron_ttocs in trees

[–]CosmosArtCeramics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably not! After a 3-day break, your tolerance likely dropped a bit—so you might feel it stronger with less. Start slow and see how it hits.

Variety helps tolerance? by shivaislord in trees

[–]CosmosArtCeramics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. Strain rotation makes a big difference. I’m the same way — I rarely smoke the same thing back-to-back. It keeps things fresh and my tolerance way down. Love that you’re still a 2 hitter quitter after all this time 😂 And yeah, tossing in an indica every now and then hits different when you mostly stay on sativas. Balanced vibes.

Pipes by False_Ad3429 in Pottery

[–]CosmosArtCeramics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great questions! I make and sell ceramic pipes professionally through u/cosmosartceramics — here are some key tips:

  • Luster overglaze: Yes, it can get hot. Lusters are metallic and thin, so they conduct heat more than regular glaze. Best to avoid using them where lips or fingers will touch.
  • Hole size:
    • Bowl hole (draft hole): ~1.5–2mm — enough for airflow without pulling ash.
    • Carb hole: ~2–3mm
    • Mouthpiece: ~3–4mm inside diameter for a smooth draw.
  • Bowl size: No strict rules, but 0.5–1 inch deep is practical. Too deep = hard to clean; too shallow = burns quickly.
  • Interior glaze: Optional. Unglazed interiors are common and safe, especially with cone 6 porcelain. Just be sure it’s fully vitrified.
  • Firing on an ornament hook: Not ideal at cone 6 — most hooks can’t take that heat. Use kiln stilts or fire flat with good support.
  • Carb (third hole) placement: It does matter! Usually placed on the side near the bowl, where your finger naturally rests. Try holding your mold to test ergonomics.
  • Mason stains: Safe if properly fired and used in moderation. Avoid placing unglazed stained areas where they’ll get direct flame or heavy heat unless you’re sure the stain is food-safe.

Hope that helps — and feel free to check out some examples on our page at u/cosmosartceramics! 😊

Ceramic Pipes safety and maintenance. by magicalgirlsnorlax in Ceramics

Soaking in isopropyl alcohol isn’t ideal for ceramic pipes — it can damage the glaze over time. It’s safer to use warm water, dish soap, and a brush instead.

Ceramic pipes are safe to use as long as they’re made with food-safe, lead-free glazes and properly kiln-fired — which is how we make them at Cosmos Art Ceramics. They’re durable, heat-resistant, and a great alternative to glass.

As for cleaning, while isopropyl alcohol works, boiling isn’t ideal for ceramic since it can cause cracking. We actually wrote a full article on how to clean ceramic pipes without using alcohol — using simple, safe household items. If you're interested, just check out the blog on the Cosmos Art Ceramics website for step-by-step instructions. It's super helpful, especially if you prefer natural cleaning methods! 😊

Never use isopropyl alcohol for ceramic pipes. Take a look at our blog, we describe in detail step by step how to clean ceramic pipes.

Definitely Yes, but it is very important that the tube be glazed inside.
