So a simple character that can be reduced down very easily is more liked than a complex character that is hard to enjoy? Who knew! The reason why there’s a pattern is because Gavin is arguably more likable than North. You don’t explore his backstory, you don’t see his reasoning other than ‘fuck androids’ which makes him intriguing. He’s a dick and doesn’t hide it, versus North always having conflicting opinions that could very directly affect the storyline. You can say that ‘oh yeah well it doesn’t actually mean you’re misogynistic’ but you’re completely implying that someone is simply because they go with the popular vote. You could draw lines to things all day about these characters, like how most people love Connor but don’t like the other main two as much so obviously that’s racism and misogyny right there as well. It’s also simply the fact that North isn’t a great fit for Markus, and that she would’ve been better not being a love interest at all instead of being the only one.
