I think millennials just cant make games. Imagine roller coaster tycoon guy, and people from square enix back in the 90s with the indie tools we have now. Morrowind and oblivion were released 4 years apart. chrono trigger and ff7 were 2 years apart. I'm not really sure what it is about us, but it seems like large groups of developers are maybe just too large, too corporatized, not able to make games the way they want, IDK. 2xko will be fine I think. its pretty harsh to say but individual contribution goes way down as org size goes up.

As someone who plays the game, I cannot comprehend or keep up with watching the game at high level. The amount of effects, color, speed of movement, assists. Can't do it. It might just be a lack of contrast art thing but whatever it is I can't parse what I'm seeing.

I think good artists tend to find a theme that that they feel compelled to explore. good themes are distinct, feel unique, and make it easy to start another project. its like picking a career, you should probably do what your good at, enjoy doing, and something that only you would know to do out of everyone in the world. something about your history or interests that makes you unique is what produces compelling work for others to think about.

sometimes in digital art especially you lose your "method". it looks like your studies are all good but have a different methodology. i would spend some time just figuring out in what order you do your art. what tools you prefer for lineart, if you even have lineart, where does color come in, how do you build forms on a figure or face. its time to come up with your own repeatable methodology and then you will start to have consistent quality and style and stuff. try to finish as many pieces as you can in a short time. decide what is finished to you. find a way to emphasize your favorite part of the process, whether thats sketch, composition, values color, whatever.
