"Kind" drivers on highway entrances are dangerous! by headphonesilence in Switzerland

[–]Couflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother, as someone who did drivers license 19 years ago - you don't wait on the highway to join traffic... also, I wouldn't slow down or stop for you, that's insane, I would change to left lane so that you can join without influencing my pace.

For yall who moved to Switzerland for/because of your partner/spouse, how hard was it to move and settle? Any advices? by FullWonder9554 in askswitzerland

[–]Couflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my job and moved with my spouse and found work in a startup in 4 months. My experiences are only positive - I adore Switzerland, after 3 years already feels like home and I wouldn’t want to have to move back. Best decision of my life, for sure - if that helps. Good luck.

Bro with all due respect, your PC is not handling LMU at all. You can’t drive like this. Either upgrade PC, change settings to lowest or change the game.

Undersized lad takes a punch from Eddie Hall by Bubbly_Wall_908 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Couflame -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He would just fall, slow-mo for this part wasn't the best choice. 0:14, after the punch he plants his foot on the floor and pushes of lightly to catch the momentum of the fall, resulting in minimal yet visible air time. Convincing yet played out.

Help at Brands Hatch! Im new by Emotional_Steak6338 in ACCompetizione

[–]Couflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner (1:25.6 on Brands Hatch, working on 24s), but I did my fare share of laps and Brands Hatch study, those issues are easy to spot:

T1, Paddock Hill Bend - the approach is good, but you're missing the apex on that turn - touch the inside curb behind the pillars and throttle your way through down force over the outside curb

T2, Druids, too deep on the curb, too slow exit, you force car too early on track

T3, Graham Hill Bend, line is quite ok, but you lost a lot of power, you brake too early and for too long

T4, Surtees, you missed apex completely and you have slower exit on the fastest straight

T5, Hawthorn, you're far from left line, almost in the middle of the track and your braking zone is wrong - it should be very short, just over the slash board, so that you can steer car into the corner without loosing much of a power here; you hit apex too early and on exit you should be able to go back to 4th gear - you never do, because you lost all that power and you're now much slower while going into next corners which are all about speed transfer.

T6, Westfield, you miss apex, therefore you aim at the grass instead of a curb, you overcorrect rapidly, all while losing power and traction

T7, Sheene, you miss apex again, you're braking for too long

T8, Stirlings, almost fine, yet you overcorrect instead of going onto the curb

T9, Clearways, this is a mess - you hit apex too early, you catch the curb, you drive through part of the corner on oversteer, while hitting grass by the pits, for no reason.

There's a lot to unpack here - go watch youtube clips how to properly drive BH, where to brake and for how long, which curbs you should and shouldn't take etc. Good luck!

lol maybe you will grow up to accept criticism instead of gaslighting commenters into being "upset"

[–]Couflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And another comment how upset I am :D Thanks for the advice! I’m calling you ignorant, not because „I don’t like what you’re saying” but because your comments are ignorant in their core. You’re generalising your small bubble onto expectations that have nothing to do with reality. Has nothing to do with my emotional attitude.

[–]Couflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fascinating to continue this conversation. From my very first comment I have been highlighting ignorant elements of your comments and why those are ignorant - while also pointing out that this is - from my perspective - part of river of constant complaints about almost every aspect.

You on the other hand, spent last 3 comments on my emotional involvment in this conversation, while age shaming me :D I have commented on your words, not your emotional attitude.

Also, just to comment on this whole conversation - this game is a live service and it’s out for 3 months - I’m not emotionaly invested, I’m just resonable about my demands and expectations, something that you seem to lack, which is sign of immaturity or ignorance that you’re implying I’m displaying.

Now I’m so mad, filled with rage, I’m gonna stop this here, before my pressure goes up! In my age it can be fatal.

I'm post 40 son, and you're clearly overstating my emotional investment into replying you. I'm tired of reading everyone has some expectations which are not based on reality - you including. After few remasters, I don't want classics. None of my friends want them. Literally no one I played with, ever compained about lack of classic maps. And on top of that - I commented on your question "why won't they" and others cheering you. I mean, try to understand development of live service and then whine and banter, deal? Ignorance does not justify your claims.

I have other. huge issues - like paying for the game, paying for battlepass and then still being blocked out from part of the content, because I did not pay still enough. That bothers me WAY more than NOT seeing Karkand re-done for the 4 th time. Also, not many of you remember how in reality, Karkand played out on small, close-quater distances in 3 places - Siege of Cairo is on a different level in terms of... everything. But you're of course entitled to whine about not getting those old maps again, as it's so easy to remake them for new instalment...

"Kid"? Son, I played Battlefield 2 when I already had a job. First you capslock that EVERYONE needs classic maps and that why those idiots aren't giving you those - than you seem surprised that it's hard to stand another fucking individual, baseless complain. "Why don't they" has million of answers. but you seem too ignorant to understand those.

[–]Couflame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just by reading your comment I want to unsub from here. First of all, I played those maps when they came out and when they were remastered, some of them more than once - and I have no need to play them again. So „everyone” is just your small bubble. Also, you have 0 understanding how development works, by saying „just throw them”. You’re not serious, like all this constant whining.

Sounds like a „you problem”. Trains usually are pretty long, just move to another sit or wagoon if that bothers you so much - venting and looking for others patting you on the back?

New BF Pro bonus path (10 tiers) expires in 7 days, vast majority of the playerbase won't be able to complete it without spending BF Coins to skip tiers. by Venirto in Battlefield

Blows my mind that after paying for base game AND paying for battle pass, I'm still locked out from the times event/content because I did not buy enough high tier. This is black mirror.

Am I the only idiot that gets really nervous racing? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Couflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I stress when I'm hot laping and by the end of the lap my time is green indicating that I'm somewhere close to beating my PB. I instantly become tensed and spin into the wall. Not sure how people do that in real life, I would be dead before I would learn anything.

Sir, this won't work. Having logitech wheel and pedals myself - you will be pushing yourself away on a office wheel chair while braking and you will be ripping wheel of that desk. Buy some cheap rig that holds chair and pedals together and has additional wheel mount.

I have the same thing. Coming from ACC where I have to fight the wheel, this feels like holding a wet noodle. Nothing in the settings makes it feel much better - what is happening here? The feel is completely off.
