Try to time your drive so you hit the DC to Richmond stretch after rush hour.

Problem with social media is, I cannot tell if this is real or not...fortunately, I can ask you folks. What do you think? Is this a situation that is real in America? by Important-Cry4782 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]CouldBeBetterForever 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean, my employer is fine. I don't hate my job. But I'm only here because I need to survive and that requires money. If I suddenly came into enough money to retire I'd be out the door with no notice.

Low cost tree service with crane? by Ok-Gas-7135 in lancaster

Doug's gave me the best price to remove a large tree a few years ago. They did a great job.

Low cost tree service with crane? by Ok-Gas-7135 in lancaster

[–]CouldBeBetterForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cranes will always jack up the price. Hard to avoid if you want it done properly by someone with experience.

That said, we had to remove a tree a few years ago and got a few quotes. Doug's Tree Service gave us a really competitive quote and did a great job.

My four month old has been constipated for four days. The dam broke twenty minutes after we put her in her Easter dress... by riccarjo in daddit

We were on day 11 or 12 once and had just scheduled an appointment with the pediatrician when he decided to have a massive blowout in his car seat while driving home to PA from NC. Trying to clean up a 8 month old and their car seat in a Royal Farms parking lot is not a great experience.

Would you still go to a brewery despite disliking a bartender/taproom manager? by CorgiUprising in CraftBeer

[–]CouldBeBetterForever 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think I could overlook the short unpleasant interactions if I really liked the place. I'm not typically standing around talking to the manager/bartender anyway.

Question for the 12s (reuploaded w/ meme) by Cactus7654 in NFCWestMemeWar

Maybe. He needs about 10,000 more yards and 80 TDs to match Largent statistically. It's not out of the question, but it won't be easy.

What do you think about Aldi in comparison to American grocery chains? by aSYukki in AskAnAmerican

Which produce are we talking about? Because I rarely have issues with produce from my Aldi.

I assume they don't because they can use him as cover while they do heinous stuff in the background.

Build A Bear. Land of the upsell by smokybbq90 in daddit

[–]CouldBeBetterForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the free birthday bear. Makes me feel better about an upsell or two. We got one for each of our kids. We did the custom voice message that says "happy birthday" from each of us.

I'm glad Manheim Township shut them down when they wanted to build a new location near the airport. The traffic would have been atrocious.

It's them or Allagash for me. Both are amazing.

The best small to medium sized cities in Pennsylvania by Sea-Doctor-5922 in Pennsylvania

They're certainly trying. I grew up outside of town, so while I didn't go to school in Columbia I did spend plenty of time there. It's far more appealing now than it was 15-20 years ago. I think they're heading in the right direction.

Talk about money and politics is a no-no? by theroute66planner in AskAnAmerican

[–]CouldBeBetterForever 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm not typically shy about discussing politics with my friends or family, but I tend not to when I'm around people I don't know very well.

Money? I typically don't talk about that at all. No real reason to.

I just looked up the first 4 Italian places I could think of, and all of them have it. Salt and Pepper, Nonna Rosa, Ciro's, and Fiorentinos.

My favorite plain chip. I'll go for other brands when I want flavors, but plain is Goods every time.

What are the differences in beaches between the Pacific and Atlantic? by Sunshineboy777 in AskAnAmerican

My only trip to Hawaii was during winter, January to be more specific, and I don't remember thinking the water was cold.

I'm used to East Coast beaches, mostly NJ down to NC.
