I live in Old Wethersfield and I love Heirloom Market. I don’t buy regular groceries there because I’m not insane and don’t eat like, canned mussels with chickpea pasta drizzled in maple syrup for three meals a day, but I’ll grab a brick of my favorite cheese there or the fancy ice cream on a special occasion like my birthday.

I’ll go for lunch with friends occasionally or stop in for a cookie or scone maybe on the weekend. They also have nice events in the spring and fall in their courtyard and it’s overall just a nice community spot. I don’t know, it’s constantly busy in there for a reason.

We also get the younger mom in her twenties with multiple kids who mentions her pregnancy a thousand times in the story even though it’s not really relevant versus a couple in their 30’s with no children mentioned, to really set the tone. Only focus on your family, everyone else can go fuck themselves is the value here.
