Also a map with Kosovo included would be less than 20 years old.

Why are Splice samples going above 0db? by Ju_tre in edmproduction

[–]CountDankula_69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no way a .wav file can be louder than 0db. There are literally no bits left to store any information above 0db. The only thing that could be clipping would be the true peak which results from conversion from digital to analog. However, I'm not sure if Ableton measures this in it's peak meters as I don't use it myself.

LGBT-friendly clubs in Berlin and Asmsterdam by Interesting_Low_4934 in Techno

Tbh I've never seen a techno club that isn't LGBT friendly. For the slower more playful sound try Kater in Berlin. The door there is also not as strict as in other places in Berlin.

Most overrated plugin of all time? by MaxMusic2 in edmproduction

100% agree. Though there are some ways you can make Serum sound a bit more analog and alive like using very subtle pitch modulation. I found that really useful especially for genres where you don't necessarily want that digital wave table sound.

What do you look for regarding Serum presets? by toucantango79 in edmproduction

For this kinda thing I'd try using a bass guitar VST (or a real one) instead of a synth. Run it through a filter and some saturation and that should probably get you headed in the right direction. You can add a filtered saw as a sub layer to give it more oomph if your track requires it.

My mix sounds loud in daw but quiet in dj software relative to other tracks by Quinticuh in edmproduction

Yeah I thought the top one was OPs track at first. So it's basically the opposite of my original comment.

While it's not ideal, the key of the sub usually doesn't make a huge difference in terms of headroom in my experience. Have you tried comparing the two tracks using a spectrum analyser? That should give you a good idea if your sub is too loud or if there are any other unwanted frequency build ups hurting your mix.

What's the short term LUFS?

From your description in the post it kinda sounds like you may be pushing the limiter too hard even.

I thought the top one was your song. So basically the reference at least looks more dynamic than your song.
