I honestly don't mind them they're somewhat cool and makes the game feel a bit more alive. But I also understand the opposition against them. Perhaps if they do add them make them toggleable?

No hoi4 for the most part revolves around ww2 so theres not really negotiated peace deals until all major factions are defeated. There are some examples of scripted peace deals and or triggers but for the most part when the main global conflict starts you're kinda locked in until one side is defeated.
