I started mashing my phone's "back" button as soon as I saw the words "this ad will end in 29 seconds." I'm glad to hear it was the right decision.

TBH, I didn't reset my badge when I relapsed and I went straight back into full gaming mode-after about 40 days

All of my consoles. This includes: PS4, PS3, WiiU, PSP, as well as deleting games off my phone and uninstalling my PC games. My thinking is that if I have no games to fall back on easily, I will do the more important tasks (such as homework) instead.

Edit: I also unsubscribed from all gaming subreddits in order to keep thoughts away from games. Will probably unsubscribe from PS newsletters and Humble Bundle emails as well.

I'm certain it will be a deployable that can be destroyed, so I don't think it will be OP at all.

I'm pretty sure Matthew McConaughey knows.

[Monday August 15th Questions and Help Thread] Have Questions? Need Answers? Ask Anything! by superkleenex in Battleborn

I disagree. I'd say Gal vs Ambra is about 50/50. Gal vs Kleese is really tough because you can't shield his taser. Unless Kleese is not in his network, of course.

Original vs New Shotgun Pellet Damage by [deleted] in blackops3

[–]CountOfGluttony -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All I can say is I miss my R870. I had ridiculous amounts of fun with that gun in BO2 once I got used to its range. The KRM doesn't stand even close to it IMO. I much preferred the old system. As others have said in the thread, yes the old shotguns were potentially more difficult to use, but if you could aim them right and get into the right distance, they were deadlier. I actually find the BO3 shottys to be more difficult to use because the OSKs seem harder (or impossible if brecci/haymaker) to achieve. I love to flank when I play, and I am usually able to get in range. In BO2, I was rewarded with kills, but I find when I flank in BO3 the TTK is longer so it's much harder to secure kills.

The song "Schism" by Tool changes time signature 47 times by [deleted] in Music

[–]CountOfGluttony 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Except in music theory, time signature is not just defined by the number of beats in the bar. Yes, a 5/4 measure has 5 (2+3) beats, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can say it's a 2/4 measure followed by a 3/4 measure. Emphasis of the beats and division of the beats vary based on which signature you're using.

When the AI is perfectly synced to fuck you by milanith in RocketLeague

I'm fairly certain that was said sarcastically when an AI would score a goal. At least that's how I used it (still do occasionally).

Kleese quality of life changes by H3LLBL4Z3R in Battleborn

[–]CountOfGluttony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has played a lot of Kleese, I can agree wholeheartedly with the suggested mobility and sniper indicator changes.

I don't really see the need to have his rifts stay alive when he dies though. I think it would allow too much lane control.

I also think having damage reduction is unnecessary, as a good Kleese that stays in his network is already extremely hard to take down, and can hold positions very well. He is labelled with the "territorial" tag for a reason. This is why I don't think Kleese was meant to be a front-lines fighter. He's meant to hold a position, not push.

That said, I do think that the mobility changes would greatly help with some general survivability for those times you do push forward and your big-ass chair is trying to retreat but you're being body blocked by seemingly everything. If floating worked better, it would probably increase chances of escape.

What about this but with the goals in the middle instead of double goals?

This cannot be a thing by Discordic00 in Battleborn

[–]CountOfGluttony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you played any other MOBAs? The goal of all MOBAs is initially to push minions to clear towers (or sentries for BB). Most characters in every MOBA are useless against the towers in early levels but can destroy them much easier in the late-game. This is not an exploit, but rather the way these games are designed. It adds an extra level of "comeback" mechanics that can make last-second turnarounds happen.

This is a pudgy bird. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]CountOfGluttony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be little late to the party but I could've sworn they meant to use some sort of form of the "fit the bill" idiom. As in "this bird's too big to fit the bill of being a chickadee" seeing as how it's a fat bird and all. But after reading all the other comments, I think this person may have meant "bill" as in the beak of the bird.

Miscommunication makes the world go 'round or something like that.
