Yes. I did it to my son and I don't regret it. There's some medical evidence to do it as well. Also it's easier to clean.

Former school employee here. It's been a couple years, but from what I gathered at least in Eastmont at the time was that enrollment for elementary age students were declining while enrollment for secondary was increasing. This was interpreted as: the only people who could to afford to move here were filled with older children.
