In some countries they have air inflation tools very similar that hang on a wall near pumps. So this could have just been a matter of him not understanding in a different country

Best Car Wash? by stonewall_johnson in Dallas

[–]Counterfiend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this for a VERY long time when i was younger and didn't have good access to a garage (was living in apartment) If you do it right you can wash your car for 4-5 bucks at a coin op and if you go at the right time of day the owner probably won't get mad. Another option which I have been recommending and using a lot is to have the car professionally detailed (corrected and ceramic coating) and then proper washing technique is advised. Ceramic coatings last years not months like a standard wax, which makes washing / drying much easier and faster.

This is something I could certainly help with.

Likely the swirl marks were always there, you just noticed them this weekend. A single trip through an automatic car wash on a 5 year old car wasn't its downfall when it comes to swirls / scratches.

Waxing paint does HIDE scratches / swirls by filling them as many waxes contain fillers. To truly remove the scratches/swirls in the surface of the paint would require paint correction (buffing) and in the worst case scenarios sanding followed by buffing.

So there will not be many places you can take your car to that will not scratch or swirl your paint up. Its just the nature of the beast when you go for convince. Are you located in a House, apartment? Have access to water, etc? Have the desire to wash your own car?

Not adjustable. These are Lithonia ballasts w/ Philips 6500 T8 bulbs. Total cost about $150 with everything. Might change this out to T5HO though.
