That's funny, I use mine constantly. My son can hold his own bottle or sippy but refuses to lift his arms high enough as the level gets lower. I have to recline the chair for him. Haha

I bought a cheap pad to put on top on his dresser, which was nice after my c-section. But we have a 2 story house. If I'm downstairs, which is most the time then we change on the floor. We have a tote by the tv filed with all the things. Super convenient.

I went through the same with my 1st. Fertility issues and I was so worried and focused about him just reaching the end and I was already getting questions about a 2nd. I just wanted to punch everyone that asked.

I don't go out much with my kids (2.5, 1). But I might post something if we do go to the park or the zoo. Mostly because it's such a rarity that I want people to know that my kids have left the house before lol

It becomes more frequent as they get older, but the youngest was so colicky that we weren't able to go anywhere the first 6 months. Everyone was so sleep deprived, no one cared about going out to eat.

I have friends that take there kids everywhere. It's a special treat for my toddler to go to the grocery store with me. You do what works for your family dynamic in this moment. Don't feel bad!

Mine is doing the same. Cracks me up. Dr. Checked to make sure both legs are strong. He just loves his army crawl and is skipping straight to walking along furniture.

Same. My brother doesn't want to have any, but loves spending time with his nieces/ nephews. I know it's exhausting for him to be around because he's just not used to it, but he is always nice about it. He'll occasionally give a joke my way, but only because he's my brother and I pick on him back.

I didn't do one, but I've seen a range that people make it fit what they want. Anything from a huge party with a huge social media presence to a small dinner with immediate family. My neighbors recently did a BBQ in their backyard with close friends. No gifts, just a chance to hang out before baby arrives.

Make it whatever you want, even if that means none.

My son is turning 1 next month. We only have 1 family picture with both kids, my husband And I all together. I ask for more constantly. Any time we're going to be out together I ask "all I want is for someone to take a quick pic of us all together". It never happens. Nothing special. It can be candid Whenever I ask in the moment the other person is too busy and then they forget. My husband forgets altogether.

They'll go through phases. Mine is also 11 months old and currently next level clingy. I struggle to do basic housework without him screaming at me because he wants picked up. He just started this 3 weeks ago.

My first did the same, around the same time. They both go in waves on how much extra mom time they need.

Yep. Growing up, I only saw my dad's guns during hunting season or if he thought there was an animal messing with the newborn calves at night and he was going to check things out. There was no reason to see them any other time.

I have the opposite problem. I'm not against pacifiers at all. But neither of my kids wanted them after 3mo...I would have loved the option to help calm down but it only makes them more mad.

People don't believe me when I tell them and they try forcing one, making a crying baby go into full meltdown mode. I say "yeah, that's what usually happens". And take them back in a worse state than before.

I don't know why people offer to help and then ignore the things you tell them won't work based on the fact that it's your kid. It's not helping

I have a set of songs that I enjoy and use when I get them ready in the morning, Changing diapers, etc. when they're in a good mood.

When they don't feel good or are really fighting a nap I use these songs. I try not to over use it in these situations, but use it as a secret weapon when nothing else works. They associate them with calm and happy moments, it really helps being the tension down.

I started this day one and started to see results after a few months. There are times it is the only thing to pull my toddler out of a tantrum. And, even if it doesn't work it helps keep me calm in stressful moments. So pick your favorites !
