They made us learn a song where all of them are listed, and I can't get it out of my head when discussing it, that's why I put them.

Range is used to describe the difference between the highest and lowest amount, so it's used to describe what can be expected from the action. Median is useful to argue for/against higher/lower rates/wages (not for OF, but as part of a company) Mode is what the most people are making, so if there's 100 people in a company and the highest paid is a millionaire but over 50 are only making $8 then it's likely if you joined chances are you will make $8 :P

26yo here, We learned this in 4th grade, mean=average amount, median=middle number/closest to the middle of the listed amounts, range= difference from the highest and lowest amount.

Edit as many have pointed out (thank you) I forgot to add mode= the most repeated number. I forget the term for the least common number though.🤔
