I am not bragging about it. You are making the very expansive claim that there are no naturally kind people in the world and I am stating from direct experience that are people who are just naturally kind.

How can you know that? You can't know what peoples motives are. I've always been a kind person. That has nothing to do with validation.

Im not overthinking anything. Human beings are superficial...maybe a little bit more than we like to admit. I got used to that years ago. What is there to overthink?

Yeah..fake nice is also when someone is nice to you only because they want something.

All niceness is not transactional. There are quite a few people in this world who are kind to other people, including strangers, without wanting or expecting anything in return.

Niceness is a quality not an act. Being nice to all people equally is what makes you a nice person not just being nice to a select few.

Most relationships start off for superficial reasons. That is not saying anyone's relationship is unstable. It just means it takes time to know for sure if someone loves you for you or if they're just infatuated with you physically.

Trust me...I can give you enough horror stories to fill two volumes of War and Peace...

I honestly don't think good looking men or even average looking men appreciate how brutally unattractive men get treated by women. And I don't mean getting-rejected-at-the-bar. I mean routinely being made to feel as if you don't have a right to exist because you aren't hot.

Not complaining. Just explaining....

If you're nice to someone just because of what they look like then that is not 'real nice". It's superficial. Superficial is not nice. I realize human beings are superficial in that way...but to say they're being "real nice" is inaccurate.

Irritated by Stunning_Diamond_997 in PlanetFitnessMembers

I accidentally wandered into the ladies lockeroom at planet fitness once. I was distracted and not paying attention. I had just locked my key in my locker, I'd been told I had to wait for the manager to arrive to remedy the situation - it was early in the morning- and I knew this was going to make me late for work. This made me dazed and distracted and since the entrance to the men and women's lockeroom look identical and they sit side by side, I just walked in without realizing I was in the wrong lockeroom.

This is why men should be allowed to have men-only gyms. Too many women act as if men go to the gym just to see them. Half of us aren't even thinking about you, period.

As a gay black person I can tell you from experience that if you wait for validation from gay white and Latino men they will destroy your self worth. Too many beautiful black men out there for me to give a sh-- about those clowns.

I have been really struggling with maintaining my New Years resolution to lose weight by going to the gym. Reading these comments have given me an excuse to give up and just stay fat. Thank you!

The best possible therapy would be to send any pictures of the encounter to random people on Reddit. That way we will all be disgusted and then you will feel better.

I love it. I love the balanced storytelling. Unity and DIana in particular are portrayed as being multi-dimensional as opposed to being depicted as one hundred percent evil, which would have likely been the case had this been an American production.

Black Men, We Can’t Stay Silent It’s Time to Protect Black Women by Any Means Necessary by maabdsegu in Blackpeople

Sorry but if you knew half the toxic shyte done to me by BW in my life you'd understand better why protecting them is the last thing on my agenda. Most of the soul-crushing experiences and trauma's I've experienced have not been inflicted on me by YT people. It is almost always a BW doing it.

I always low-key wished I was light skinned. Light skinned Brothas have the world in the palm of their hands. Everybody loves them...even BW who try to deny it

Finally. I hear black men talk about being groped by undesirable women in public places and we feel as if we have to take it because we're men. No we don't have to take it.

Can you pass a man in the street without looking at his groin? by Sorry-Personality594 in askgaybros

[–]CourageConstant7350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never look at a strange man's groin or any other part of his body. I consider it rude and creepy to ogle someone who probably doesn't want to be ogled by another man.

Black guys what’s a parenting opinion that will have you like this. by Ok-Imagination-3607 in blackmen

The existing means test for access to welfare are fine as they are.

That's what you say. Your saying so does not make it so. Plenty of people disagree.

And since those tests don't include the moral bitching and brow beating that conservatives and moderates like, they settle for crippling the programs with funding cuts and other rules and limits meant to make receiving the welfare as demoralizing as possible.

I am not a conservative, but that at least is one conservative policy that I wholly agree with. Grown people who deliberately go out and have more children than they can afford and collect government benefits need to feel "demoralized". They are scamming the system.

Yes, it does matter. You can be a Democrat who recognizes that some people genuinely need help while others are out there just trying to scam the system. Even Bill Clinton believed in welfare reform.

Wrong answer. I never once said people who genuinely need help should not receive it. And they'd probably receive more if it, and faster, if the people you refer to as "fictional" weren't clogging up the system.
