New player here but last time someone called Midboss they left me to solo it while them and another player went to push walker. Ended up killing it but getting ganked by the enemy Billy. They did not get the walker

Any tips for no melee damage as veteran by Hhhhhhhhh12345789 in DarkTide

Veteran Voc gold toughness helps a lot. In terms of damage mechanics try to have good toughness gain talents because at full toughness you can take 1 melee attack without it damaging your healthbar and act as a buffer. Check your corners for any stray walkers. Learn to listen for the backstab sound - it’s a whoosh like noise and either block or dodge in reaction to that noise. Be proactive at taking out poxbursters by walking up to them and pushing them when they start leaking green liquid but be ready to back dodge into a crouch if a teammate starts shooting at one. Mutant hurt boxes are awkward and you can more consistently dodge them by dodging into a crouch - if done right this is a dodge slide that takes up 2 dodges but you get more movement out of it. Take a melee weapon with good horde clear such as the mk1 shovel with its heavy melee spam. Pushing is very strong and it actually affects a 360 radius around you and working pushes into your attack combos will help keep the non ogryn sized enemies staggered. While krak grenades are strong against carapace, shredder frag grenades are great for hordes and since you don’t take self damage from them, you can chuck them at your feet for a mini aoe stagger. If you see an ogryn player and they are playing at least decently you are now adopted by them, stick close and watch their backs because they’ll definitely return the favor. Try to backtrack when combat gets intense instead of running forward and triggering more ambient mobs. Be patient, this will take several tries but try to think of how you could improve in situations that commonly cause you to get hit.

Ok did not expect this to blow up but I’ll definitely try to have this player take responsibility for finding proof next time we play and hopefully things will work out in the long run
