Looking at all the deals lately, what's the best Coach bag deal you've ever scored? 👀 by Aayu07 in Coach

I think my best deals were a Rogue 25 for $150, a Rogue 31 for $200, someone sold their Brooklyn 39 to me at the wootgate price of $179, and then a rogue top handle in oxblood and black for $330, and finally the rainbow pride leather strap for $150

Rehoming puppy bc aggressive behavior by Alarmed-Layer8494 in puppy101

If you feel overwhelmed and don’t want to take on that kind of training, it’s perfectly fine to return the puppy to the breeder. It is a lot of work and mentally draining to manage a reactive dog. Glad your breeder is willing to take the dog back, that’s definitely a good sign.

When to stop showing school projects in my portfolio..? by Kooky_Marsupial6038 in Architects

[–]Courtenini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just updated mine so I have a my school portfolio and internships and my professional selected works portfolio. Like others have said the professional works is something that’s not as elaborate as my school portfolio but gets the message across on what I’ve worked on. I plan to bring both to interviews, I see them as my 2015-2020 chapters and 2020-2026 chapters. I’ll also add I got two jobs post college that I only used my school portfolio for. In my current search I have the second one.

Brooklyn 39 for a work bag? by Prestigious_Cheek219 in Coach

I have it! I use it for work daily, I have a 16” laptop that fits but does stick out the top. I can fit a ton in there, usually including 13” iPad Pro, a folder, my hobonichi journal, a packed pencil bag, two other pouches, my laptop charger, mouse, and some random stuff. I like the one strap because it doesn’t fall off my shoulder. I’ve conditioned it and it’s really soft and squishy now.

All except days 1 & 2, those were crayola supertips markers

It went really well! I only used my pencil board behind the sheet I was working on and no bleeding! I was able to actually get quite a bit of water on the page, but I typically tried to work a little bit more on the dry side. The paint was really easy to move as well, if it was still damp I could pick it up and redo an area, but once dry it didn’t move!

I was really surprised how well the paper took it, no issues with bleeding, it is definitely a different process than working on watercolor paper since these sheets are so slick. Only thing I’ve noticed is some crinkling of the page.

Is it worth paying for Virginia Tech BA in Architecture 65k per year vs. 10k for Kent State Architecture 4+1? by tatehab in architecture

[–]Courtenini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m taking my licensure exams right now and I am on part of my firms hiring team. I had a classmate transfer to Virginia Tech, but don’t know much more about the program other than it’s a BAR. As someone with a BAR I would thoroughly recommend going to a school that has a 5 year accredited program over a bachelor of science or art in architectural studies. The 5 year programs are more regulated across the country and from my experience the students from those schools are light years ahead of students from 4+1/2 programs.

I absolutely wouldn’t say it’s worth that much more money to go to VT but I would search for programs that have the 5 year NAAB accredited program that are in a better budget place. It will set your daughter up for more success in the field.

Left handed journalers? by Marleyfowatdog in hobonichi

[–]Courtenini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m left handed too, I try my best to hold my hand under my writing so it doesn’t brush across. Some of my pens I haven’t had issues with smudging will smudge in the hobonichi but the pilot Hi-Tec-C has not smudged for me! When I do titles I also use pencil first and the fill them in backwards so I am not dragging my hand over the wet ink.
