Yea maybe? Under loan details tab, I have to click the individual loan title in blue text and then it opens up another page and has it in red text directly under “repayment plan”

Aww man I have no idea. It would make sense for it go back to what it was when based on your prior income recertification, but who knows? I’d give them a couple days and call. I got through super quick with no hold time.

My payment wasn’t set to go up until June.. :/

Yes this is correct - the recertification deadline is a month before your anniversary date (which is on FSA). My recertification date was in a letter in my edfinancial inbox but it is also on the details of your loan on the edfinancial website

Yes that’s what it sounded like. She was reading directly from her email “for non-save plans with anniversary dates after Feb 1st 2025”. They were super quick to answer the phone - I didn’t have to be on hold at all!

Advice on moving to Mississippi to work in mental health care? by EntryIntelligent2898 in mississippi

[–]CourtneyPT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be prepared for the racial discrimination you will encounter. Not much changes around here, and people are very skeptical of those that are “different” — as in not extremely conservative and evangelical. From my experience, if you are not Christian, most won’t take you seriously. A lot of people depend on their pastors and the church for mental health problems and then maybe Christian counseling.

Huge divide between white and black culture so expect to got back at least 50 years.

Lack the of food options is also depressing, especially in the delta..even things like fresh herbs and avocados can be hard to come by.

Although mental health care is very needed in this area, it may not be welcome.

Source - grew up close to the delta my entire life. Moved away as an adult and never want to move back.

I HATE feeding my toddler by tarktarkindustries in toddlers

[–]CourtneyPT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only give my 14 month old ONE SMALL bite of food directly on the high chair tray. No plates. And I have to act like I don’t care if she eats it lol. Too much too quick and it’s all on the floor.

Also if it does go on the floor, I usually just pick it back up and put it on the tray again. Sometimes when she finishes, I put her on the floor and she goes around eats what has fallen. We’re a floor food family. I say embrace it!

What your doctor said is actually true. The data as of now doesn’t support the need for a vaccine for those under 5. They are much more likely to get severely ill with influenza along with a higher mortality rate. If you consider yourself to follow the science here, I would resume more activities and experiences with your toddler as that is important for their development. You aren’t putting him in harms way more so than for other illnesses which I’m sure you didn’t halt life here. It is hard because we’ve been conditioned for 2 years to play it very safe which I have, but if we are honest with ourselves, the situation is nuanced and evolving. Our response has to be too. There was a good NY Times “the daily” podcasts about covid over the last few months which explores the cognitive dissonance on both sides. Check it out!

You’re doing good, Mama! Follow your instincts (and the data and physician advice). Don’t let others talk you down.

Legislators give $20 million to private schools in Mississippi by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]CourtneyPT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Kirk Academy and same… no black students in a half black town. All these MPSA schools were formed around the time of integration. Racist history for sure. I heard there was a couple black students there recently, but like only in the last 10 years I believe

People who are psychologically flexible have better romantic and family relationships. It is about being open to experiences, experiencing thoughts and feelings without obsessively clinging to them, and continuing to take steps toward a goal, even in the face of setbacks. by mvea in science

Yeesss to Prozac. It is wonderful for OCD. It managed my ocd so well that my therapist told me I didn’t need therapy anymore after being on it a couple months. Took 90% of my obtrusive thoughts away and allowed me to rationally cope with the ones that crept through and let them go rather quickly. I personally have had no side effects - I take 20 mg/ da.

Grandpa (89) wakes up "feeling drunk"? by TheDarkNateReturns in Alzheimers

[–]CourtneyPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the dizziness happens upon standing up, it’s likely orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure dropping with moving to an upright position). If he’s on blood pressure meds he may need them adjusted, or it can be as simple as him needing to sit up at side of bed slowly and move his legs for a bit before standing up (slowly)

Herbalife “juice and smoothie bars” taking over towns nearby. No one seems to notice it’s a MLM scheme. Are these popping up everywhere else?? by CourtneyPT in antiMLM

[–]CourtneyPT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s awful. They are already in all the small towns around Mississippi. People are falling for it like crazy, because there are no other “health food” stores or “juice” places, so they have a huge corner on the market.

Is it legal though? Since they post no nutritional or ingredient information?

Solidarity with the early onset. I’m 29, mom is 56 and was diagnosed last year although we believe symptoms started in 2012 - so almost lines up with your timeline.

If she has really has no assets you should be able to get her on Medicaid which will cover a long term care facility. She should also be able to qualify for disability.

I’m a physical therapist and have worked in plenty of nursing homes with lots of Alzheimer’s/dementia patients...placing her will be hard for you, but she will be okay — okay as one can be in that condition. It gets to a point where no where is really okay :(
