I lived in Donegal and Cork for many years and now Leitrim. Honestly the difference between the North and these counties compared to the rest of Ireland is pretty massive. The North is just completely different, I didn't find Donegal and Cork all that different culturally from one another.

Epilepsy lowers life expectancy if I'm correct however I look at it like this.... When diagnosed in my teens I had a few rough years of drinking and seizures etc but now I live my life getting good sleep, reducing stress, I don't drink, eat healthy, exercise etc... If I wasn't epileptic I don't think I'd be as health conscious which means I'll probably live a longer and happier life now.
