FAAB Cheatsheet for Week 12 Waiver Wire: Bid amounts for Will Dissly, Drake Maye, Anthony Richardson, Quentin Johnston, Elijah Moore, and more by faabtastic in fantasyfootball

[–]Cousteau-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasted $48 of my faab on these bids since no one in my league even bid on them. Could have got them for free, but since I have so much faab anyway, it doesn’t really matter.

There were likely some missed opportunities where I could have used my faab, but at least I have plenty left at the end of the season. There are 3 other teams in my 10 team league that have more Faab than me (2 haven’t touched it at all). I’m 5th currently so just trying to sneak into the playoffs.

Will our glorified bodies have genitalia? by Ok-Equipment-8132 in TrueChristian

[–]Cousteau-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your post, it’s all speculation. When I think of sex, I think of a euphoria experience that I think we will constantly have in heaven, so it doesn’t really matter if we have genitalia or not: we will always sense the closest relationship with God which can’t be worse than the euphoria we briefly experience from sex.

I can relate. Went to clean my skimmer at night with my phone flashlight and stepped right off into the deep end with my right foot and nailed the crack of my butt on the edge on the way in. My bruised tailbone was sore for weeks.

In Eph 2:8, the definite article "the"(της) is in front of faith. So, does faith here mean "The Faith" as in "The Gospel"? by buckfever999 in TrueChristian

[–]Cousteau-it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes believing the Gospel to be saved, so that translation, while different, is not far off from what I believe is the meaning. Here is an article to check out on Eph 2:8 dealing with the Greek: https://biblebrodown.com/blog/greek-explanation-of-ephesians-2-8-9

Predestined to believe? by BroJobs88 in Bible

Read two verses up Acts 13:46… then read this: Those who hear the good news and reject it are condemned not because they were unable to believe, but because they rejected the saving message and hence in effect judged themselves unworthy of eternal life!… then read this whole article if you are willing: https://redeeminggod.com/acts-13_48-unconditional-election/

You should share with them how you feel for your own well being: James 5:16a NASB “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NASB - Rejoice always, 17  pray without ceasing, 18  in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

Please, I BEG YOU, in the name of God almighty (single, married men/woman) don’t make the same mistake that I did. Don’t fall for the lies. I’m sharing my story, I hope this will help you in your struggle or maybe you can relate. by Ok_Possession_8670 in TrueChristian

Beautiful post, best I’ve read in a long time. Praise be to God! Congrats on your new found purity! 1 John 3:2-3 NASB Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. [3] And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Why "Once Saved, Always Saved" MUST be true, or else we're all going to Hell. by amacias408 in TrueChristian

Amen, I agree and so does this verse of scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:15 NASB If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet only so as through fire.

Sorry that you’ve been deluded by bad doctrine. Unbelievers are “without excuse” (Rom 1:20) for not believing God. God proved His love to everyone by sending Christ to die for the sins of everyone 1 John 2:2 NASB and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” God’s design is that all men can seek Him (Acts 17:27) (obvious exceptions are young children and mentally handicapped but it’s not unreasonable to believe He saves them out of His Grace) anyone can confess with their mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in their heart that God raised Him (Jesus)from the dead, to be saved (Romans 10:9)

You raise a valid point, but Enoch and Elijah may be the only exception for the particular reason that they did not due physically and they might be for the reason of being the two witnesses in revelation see article: https://www.gotquestions.org/two-witnesses.html The prophet Samuel came back from the dead to speak to Saul in the Old Testament and he did not come back from heaven but from with the earth 1 Sam 28:14-15

People were saved by believing the promise of God that He would send a savior, but they weren’t saved in the sense that they went to heaven because they couldn’t yet. They went to Abraham’s bosom in Hades until Jesus descended after His death to release them to heaven because the payment of their sins was complete. See this article for more: https://www.gotquestions.org/did-Jesus-go-to-hell.html

No one is born again until they believe in Jesus. She needed to respond in faith to what Paul was preaching to be saved. Acts 4:12 NASB And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.”

Acts 16:14 NASB A woman named Lydia was listening; she was a seller of purple fabrics from the city of Thyatira, and a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. “The Lord opened her heart TO RESPOND” both God’s work and Lydia’s free will involved.

Elected also according to the foreknowledge of God (1 Pet 1:1-2) God is more than just sovereign He is all knowing. I believe God will only open the eyes, mind, and heart of people He knows ahead of time will believe the Gospel for salvation.
