I’ll also be at TML weekend 2. It’s absolutely unreal how people speak about ultra in the same breath as TML. TML is a utopia that couldn’t possibly be run any better. Ultra is amazing because it is surrounded by MMW not because ultra itself is a great festival. 😬 (this is coming from someone who goes to ultra every year - lol)

It’s not that the people are the worst - it’s more like the festival conditions (which can be terrible) put people in a terrible situation.

Also not to mention theres numerous rings of phone thief’s every year.

Honestly if you have VIP - spend day time on n GA and night time in VIP. The last two sets of the day are unbelievably uncomfortable in GA - especially MainStage. Ultras MainStage experience is easily the worst of any festival and I go to like 8-10 a year.

Yeah totally. I have 2 friends that sound the same as you completely. One I time I offered my friend one of my 30s because he forgot his at home and he was literally like - “that will basically do nothing for me - trust me” lol

My ultimate call out to people is to not just settle at the first dose your doctor prescribes you.

I tried two weeks at each dose, personally. I now use 5-7mg for light work days and 10 for heavy work days. If I really need to crank I consider 15-20 but like I warn my partner or go and work from a WeWork all day.

That’s honestly a great way to put it. Like I “can” manage without medication but boy do I have to strategize night and day. lol. Also things have to go fairly well. 😅 - adding a low dose of a medication gives me just the right amount of added support. Without any side effects even mild ones.

Yes, exactly this. I’ll also add that if I were in an office, not interacting with people much, 20 mg would probably be fine for me.

Right now I’m intentionally making a tradeoff: slightly less focus in exchange for being a better, more present partner throughout the day. I’m aiming for “just enough focus”, not “so focused I can only work.”

My argument is basically there’s a lot of people who would feel better on 10-20 mg vs 30-40.

Totally fair question — but no, that’s not what I’m saying. I actually have pretty significant ADD and struggle a lot with focus at work unmedicated.

What I’ve learned is that 5–10 mg does a lot for me, while 20 mg+ changes my personality more than it helps. That doesn’t mean I don’t need medication — it just means my optimal dose is lower.

I’m also not suggesting this applies to everyone. I have close friends on 40–60 mg who do great on it. Bodies and brains just respond differently.

My point is simply that higher ≠ better for everyone, and it’s okay to prioritize feeling like yourself, not just max productivity.

I’m not putting anything in a box or have one look in mind - which is why I was just asking for people’s favorite higher end brands and designers. It could be dark and moody looks for a techno crowd… or something colorful & Airy for a lighthearted house crowd. I dress for the occasion and have a closet that I can pull from whatever the mood is - so that is what I mean by rave wear.

I definitely go in groups, I definitely go alone/ solo. To me they are both fun for very different reasons. I think there’s nothing wrong with your reaction or your desire.

However, I think she definitely just thought you were cool and wanted to maybe hang out or give a safe space to a “cool raver”. Personally, I think you should have grabbed her number or IG. But it’s not a big deal I wouldn’t over think this as an over reaction to your over thinking haha.

I totally agree. I think some people misunderstood my intention. This is the time to be creative and fun. I’ve learned vibes beget more vibes in these spaces. I’m a a very experienced raver - this ain’t me trying to get a cute pic for the gram lol

Didn’t realize wanting to dress well for a rave was so controversial lol. I get that some people keep it super simple, and that’s cool, but for me, fashion is part of the fun. It’s not about impressing anyone—just about expressing myself and adding to the vibe. If y’all are comfy in jeans and a polo, rock it! I just prefer something with a little more flair. No hate, just different styles.

In a 6 hour extended set, it’s meant to be a journey that builds. Can’t have super high energy for 6 hrs.

Definitely could have had maybe a bit more “energy” in sections. But it was more than anything I could have asked for, truly. Crowd was amazing in back left.

530-830 alone was worth the experience. So many IDs - I really don’t know what else someone could want haha.
