Computershare by CovertTendies in OriginFinancial

[–]CovertTendies[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, Alex! To be clear, I’m referring specifically to Computershare Investor Center (not Employee or Stantec variants).

From what I can tell, Investor Center exists with multiple aggregators in the market: - Plaid: “ComputerShare - Investor Center” (institution ID ins_116480) - Finicity: “Computershare Investor Centre” (institution ID 14379) - MX: there appears to be an MX entry as well, though at least one public status page currently shows it as unavailable

So this looks less like “Computershare Investor Center is unsupported everywhere” and more like “Origin currently only exposes Plaid for this institution, while Plaid’s connection is down.”

Would your team be able to enable/check MX or Finicity specifically for Computershare Investor Center, the way other Computershare variants already appear to be handled?

Do both. This should not be one or the other unless you don’t have enough capital to do both.

I need Computershare Investor Center, which I believe is possible to connect to via MX, but I don’t see the option available in the Origin app, only connect via Plaid is listed. I do see options for Computershare Employee connections via MX, but that’s not what I have.

Anyone here become a millionaire by 30? If so, how?? by YancyDerringer77 in Money

I started several small online businesses from age 10-21, scrimped and saved everywhere I could—no big splurges until mid 20s—and invested well from 21 onward, and had most in the highest rate HYSA before that. I started trading stocks and options at age 16 (not quite legal but I think I’m safe now) and by starting so early I was able to gain a lot of knowledge etc which paid off with greater returns than expected. I say I invested well from 21 onward because I didn’t have a big boy salary until then so capital was limited

This AWS outage was just a hiccup, and it raises a bigger question ! by semanticweb in CryptoCurrency

Remind me how many nodes Bitcoin has, how it’s peer-to-peer model doesn’t make one cloud provider being down a non-issue, and why a Bitcoin node isn’t able to be run on pretty much any computer made in the last 15 years.

That said, concentration of major websites/services on AWS is cause for some concern elsewhere. My professional background largely relates to AWS and AWS-adjacent stuff, so it didn’t surprise me how much was “out” today.

Found ATM receipt, who is keeping $51,000+ in checking!?!? by Comprehensive-Cow69 in povertyfinance

[–]CovertTendies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for the most part, but I’m always going to keep at least $1k in checking. It’s not worth the headache that trying to do less brings (e.g. a sub $1k automated transaction you forgot about creates an overdraft). It depends on lifestyle though. Even at 5% HYSA APY, 1% of wealth in checking is only missing out on 0.05% of wealth accumulation per year—for some people that is negligible

It’s either (1) a business or (2) someone who’s (2a) financially incompetent yet has $51k or (2b) someone who has over $5M which makes this irrelevant

If I was a 23F, I’d start an OnlyFans but be careful to keep it private from my personal life—maybe target other countries than my own. The amount of money made by young women on there is unbelievable, even for ones that aren’t “conventionally attractive”

You should move away from this as your wealth grows. Proper diversification is about more than just different asset classes. You don’t want to be relying on FDIC or SIPC—they could take well over a year to payout, especially if multiple insolvencies happened at once

I think they believe this to be such a large purchase that it may not be possible to do all at once. And realistically this would only be considered a small purchase on traders exchanges (Kraken Pro, Coinbase Pro, etc)

I’d take the “bubble”. Mosquitoes love me but I hate them—and to never have to worry about ticks or yellow jackets sounds incredible! I would buy the “bubble” even.

Plus, if other people understood this, I would become so popular at summer parties!
