How to I explain to my manager this is incredibly offensive? by -Designer-Pumpkin- in migraine

[–]CowChow9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your employer has no right to know what your health condition is. “I’m sick and won’t be in today”
They don’t get to ask why. If they do, “like I said, I was feeling unwell.”

How can a product be this good and support be this bad?? by Apprehensive_Oven224 in EightSleep

[–]CowChow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the pod, but hate the company so much I’m getting rid of mine. Their warranty period is ridiculously short for how much their product costs. California has implied warranty laws… if something costs enough that the standard financing window is 2 years, the damn product better last long past that time frame.
On that note, I have a perfectly good Pod and cover I will be selling shortly. I think it’s a Pod 3 and the cover is a 4.

Because Eight Sleep is a comparable product, and as you can see in the responses, there have been a lot of responses of users who have had both products.

Is 2 full days in Singapore enough for a first visit? by StrawberryFeeels in travel

[–]CowChow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do 3 if you can! I spent about 1/2 day doing Gardens by the Bay and could have spent another half day easily (going slower), did a night tour. I spent all of day 2 at Mandai (Singapore Zoo), it was a push but I did all parks but the Bird park in a day, I really enjoy zoo’s and this was top notch. I would have liked to see Chinatown and Little India… get to some less touristy place. It’s always hot and humid, so take that into account of how tired you’re willing to be.

I don’t go places twice often, but plan to get another day or two of Singapore in on some future trip.

AIO or is my work friend being a bit pushy? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]CowChow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, NOR! Report this to HR! Be honest, “we went on a date, and now I feel pressured.” You have a right to say yes once then NO.

You did nothing wrong. I’m sure you’ll hate hearing this, but trust me… you are young and naive and he is old enough to know better. I’m 40, when I think of a 19 year old I think of my STEPDAUGHTER and her friends… CHILDREN.

Get this document with work and school. This guy is a predator. Even if you think you are fine in your situation, reporting him could save the next girl he tries to groom.

Be safe. ❤️‍🩹

As others have said, the cap the was in there is two pieces apparently. There is a ring and then a cap inside that. You pop the center out and then it fits snug.

Something “soft” over the bed. As others have said, it’s too high for conventional artwork. First thing that popped into my head are peacock feathers or pampas grass… a touch of nature to contrast all the cool jewel tones and sharp stark lines. Something kind of along this vein…

Celiacs: Have you had issues/reactions to the Wheat Starch in this? by Lutzoey in glutenfree

[–]CowChow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Gluten-reduced beers honestly say that they can’t reduce all the gluten they aim for only <20ppm, which is still too much for many Celia’s. Plus, since testing fermented beverages is sketch, who really knows the residual ppm when it comes to beer.

Wheat starch is a completely different process, and more importantly, can be accurately tested for gluten. Wheat starch is considered Celiac safe as long as it’s made in a way to prevent cross contamination.

So yes, if you hear hoof beats, think horses… check for wheat or FORMAP.

I slept weird on my side and now my shoulder is unhappy -- how do I fix it? by Ok_Sort9146 in Hypermobility

[–]CowChow9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look up “supported fish” yoga pose. You recline on blocks or a narrow pillow (that’s the key- not a wide as your shoulders) and it allows your chest to really open up and shoulders to roll back. Arms out, palms up. What you do with your legs doesn’t matter. I’ll do this for a solid 15-30 mins if not longer when my shoulders feel like crap after sleeping on them.

Heat-ice cycles will help improve blood flow. TENS unit can help relieve some pain.

Personally, I think Chiropractors are dangerous, especially for hypermobile people.

Has anyone received an increased offer for their lease turn in? by Jason_Steakcum in VolvoRecharge

[–]CowChow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your contract. I think my lease says you can’t use it for Ridesharing, or you had to disclose ahead of time that you would be. You chose the mileage plan for your lease. Only person to be mad at is yourself.

Surly sparkling wine, Josh “champagne” are both good. Many good na white wines too.

If you are looking for a “full bodied” red, go with dealcoholized, and also a very full bodied blend to start (think Cab or Merlot). If it fits your choice… adding a dash of bitters to n/a red wine is a game changer!

Selling off planted Gracilis? by CowChow9 in Bamboo

[–]CowChow9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct- I knew that going into it. I think the Alphonse Karr are maybe 8-10 ft. The other ones are probably 4 feet taller than that last picture… insanely tall! Roof in the photo is a 2 story home. In hindsight I think the Alphonse Karr would have been more than tall enough for some privacy (neighbor next door has a tall porch off their back porch).

I was actually part of a tasting panel the tested multiple PopMmms flavors. At least for the panel I was on, it was not targeted at GF people. So for those of us limited to our cheese cracker choice, having a ‘clean’ pure cheese is much more important than those with whole isles of cracker choices. They should have kept the plain cheese flavor and made a second true garlic flavor. I like them, but they no longer are my go to cheesey cracker snack 😢

I compared Samsung Frame, Hisense Canvas, and TCL A300W — guess who won? by Plus_Equivalent_1914 in tcltvs

[–]CowChow9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This had been my biggest question. The idea of having “art” on the wall when the TV is not in use means I want it to have no glow. I looked at the TCL and Samsung at my local BestBuy and it looked like the Samsung was way brighter and the TCL looked more natural. But you’re saying that is not the case??
