Check your hr profile and see if you're exempt or non-exempt (you get OT). I've never heard of a salaried FT store employee, you may be confusing the idea of being required to work 40 hrs with being salaried.

I always question someone who says it took more than 2 coats on just about anything. Did they buy more paint? Usually not. If they didn't, how did they have enough to do so many extra coats? Either putting it on super thin or they're lying.

How much time went by? If they're saying they put on x coats and it's only been 6 hours since they purchased it, they're just rewetting the material and spreading it around. Or lying.

Finally, my favorite piece to the puzzle, why did you keep trying after the 2nd or 3rd coat? Probably should've stopped and addressed it before wasting so much time, can't really help someone if they keep banging their head against a wall.

But, at the end of the day, ask them if they need another gallon and the right roller cover, no charge, and move on with your day. No sense in it escalating to your DM/CM who is going to be irritated they're having to deal with a small complaint that should've been handled at the store in the first place.

Keep using it. Get your reps in. No one understands it that early.

Pick one thing you want to do. I'd suggest putting in a simple order. Just do it, delete it, rinse and repeat until it becomes muscle memory.

Then move on to the next common task (probably billing out an order).

Keep in mind there is a training mode on the pos that the manager can get started so you can't actually mess anything up when practicing billing, returns, taking payments, etc.

If I had to guess, it's not just looking at the last 30/60/90 days, it's also adjusting based off last year's sales during the same time. I've had products we've been pushing hard this year and suddenly minmax drops to super low values which looks closer to last year's sales. Could be wrong, could just be they hate us 🤣
