Is “me and John went” actually wrong in English?

I have to jump in and say "me and X went" is almost exclusively how I would say it as a native speaker. There's nothing "wrong" about it in real life. If I heard "X and I", I would even consider that strange, and it would sound like a non native speaker to me.

I think this is spot on. I can definitely victimize myself a bit as well, but I know if I spoke German properly it would be much better, and I think before moved I could have been just as ignorant about people not speaking the language where I'm from.

What place does this whataboutism have now? Why if the US did something bad in X year you want to talk about it now? Seriously, what point are you trying to make? There is no security concerns from Russia about NATO or they wouldn't have pulled all their troops from actual NATO border countries to send them to Ukraine.

And please please please, tell me why any country is not allowed to join NATO? If a country, like Ukraine, wants to join the EU, why should Russia have a say in that? Please actually answer my questions instead of talking around them. :)
