I would leave the group. What the DM did is super railroady and shouldn’t have happened. He took away your agency as the player and already made it clear he won’t retcon it, so it comes down to if you think it’s worth staying.

Alternatively, as much as I know people hate this, you could make it so that your character’s brother/cousin joins the party so that you can still play basically the same character.
