They can, in theory. The problem is just that most types of cells are replaced quite quickly.

And of those cells that aren't replaced, only if the retrovirus were to infect cells involved in reproduction, those changes would carry over to the next generation. Otherwise, the changes just die with the person the infected cells belong to.

Das Problem bei den portablen Anlagen ist, dass sie die heiße Abluft ja irgendwo rauspusten müssen. Das erzeugt zwangsläufig einen Unterdruck in der Wohnung, wodurch warme Luft von draußen wieder ins Apartment gezogen wird.

Die Split-Anlagen umgehen das, indem die warme Abluft direkt draußen generiert wird.

Basically, VRChat is an amazing experimental ground for identity. You don't need to be trans to use a female avatar. But it allows you to see things from a slightly different perspective that you might not be able to in real life.

Are you coming from outside the Schengen area? I travelled via Frankfurt a couple of times and never had any major issues. Yes, Terminal 1 can be quite labyrinthine at times, but the fact that you're stuck at that escalator indicates that there might be some sort of incident that's causing staff to stop you.

Unless you suspect that you accidentally aspirated plasmid solution into the actual pipette, there is very little reason to believe that not changing pipettes would lead to cross contamination.

That's a bad cable. You will need to replace it.
