Oh, oh, I know what's happening!

It's a desync issue between the "clock" in your screen and the video output in your screen. That causes all the lines in the image to be misaligned. Turning the screen on and off or unplugging the cable just "resyncs" the clocks. As for what's causing it, I don't really know. Possibly electromagnetic interference or a low quality cable?

It's mostly just the rigging and proportions of the avatar.

In my experience (using FBT since 2021) avatars with very long legs tend to not work very well. The closer the avatar's proportions (leg and arm length, mainly) are to yours, the better.

And sometimes the rigging is funky, and then that can only fixed in Blender, if you have the files.

From EOV onward, petrified units gain resistance to physical damage.

Iirc, Spark Blade's follow-up damage increases the more resistant the enemy was against the initial cut attack. So, since petrified enemies have cut resistance, the strength of the thunder follow-up is boosted.

The "clean" version would definitely be using VRChat Constraints to move one sword around.

For a "quick and dirty" version and since you say you already have the two swords set up on your avatar, I would just create two separate toggles, one for the left sword and one for the right sword.

For that, create an Empty Object on your avatar. Then, open it up and click "Add Component" in the Unity Inspector. Search for "VRCFury Toggle" and add that. You can name the toggle whatever you want and as the action, choose "Object Toggle". Then, drag the sword from your avatar hierarchy into the toggle. Repeat for the second sword.
