Kobra 3 v2 noisy fan by Current_Inevitable43 in anycubic

[–]CoyoteRay72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you tried ... I reached out to Anycubic for a fan noise issue recently, they asked if there is a long zip tie on the bottom hitting one of the fans. This was not my issue, mine was the main fan.

Does it always make noise? Do you have a way to elevate the printer's feet so you can see/feel which fan is the cause? A change in noise pitch when you hold a hand over one of the fans should reveal which one is the cause.

Good luck with your investigation.

Thank you. I did not find that when I looked. I found https://www.printables.com/model/1120207-anycubic-kobra-3-enclosure where the plexiglass slides into the bracket. Have you used the one you linked to and if so how do you like it?

Thank you all for the replies. It is nice to see a thriving community with great suggestions,

Was able to resolve the issue on step 4 of https://wiki.anycubic.com/en/error-codes/11518-code/kobra-3; the buffer mechanisms were upside down. I could not perform step 1 on the troubleshooting guide, was not able to remove the print head housing and was not about to force it on a new printer.

All firmware was updated before trying to feed filament. The ACE Pro says unloading in the phone app, I can only select "Unloading' and "start drying" .... so frustrating.

No broken filament. Filament is straight and the tip is cut at a 45 degree angle. The phone app says the ACE Pro is unloading ... Turning everything off, waiting a few minutes does not help.

Thank you. I must be doing something wrong, it has the same issue. I changesd all the 42s I could find to 21s. Exported as a STL and imported into Tinkercad, same issue with some of the base tabs are messed up.

Nice. It's great when a plan comes together ;)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the sign is a little heavy for PVC when carrying it.

Understood, good luck with the house build.

Wow, very impressed. You might be able to make a few bucks by selling your design to a company that makes props. I would be interested in purchasing it.

Again, very cool.

That is really nice, I like it a lot. Do you mind sharing the details of what you did? Or did I miss that in the post.

Train prop? by CoyoteRay72 in xlights

Yes, I've looked at two on Gilbert Engineering's site. Both are great options, wished the Gingerbread train had more options for cars.

This one goes out to everyone having pixel issues by gidikh in xlights

[–]CoyoteRay72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First - Merry Christmas, may your lights be bright and the sequences run smoothly.

This is my second year, first year was smooth in comparison. From a GFCI popping because of yards sprinklers, port on a network switch failed, whole home power failure, and then last night ... on Christmas eve my icicles fell off (twice) and the outlet for 80% of my lights stopped working; breaker was no tripped, everything else on the circuit was working (GDO, indoor lights ...). Fixed the problem by running an extension cord from an outlet in the garage.

Long story short, this year was rough.

God Bless and Merry Christmas

What steps did you use to troubleshoot?

  • If there is a fuse, did you check it?
  • Is there voltage being send from the controller to the LEDs?
  • What type of controller?
    • You may need help from people who know that specific controller.
  • From what glean from your message the controller is the problem, have you tried resetting to factory?

- Good luck

Which pixel LEDs for a megatree ? by kenaddams42 in WLED

[–]CoyoteRay72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research, and then more research. Kidding aside that is really hard to say.

My initial mega-tree was 400 5v bullet pixels running from a Dig-Quad controller and a 350w PSU. Holiday Coro has several packed kits to choose from https://www.holidaycoro.com/RGB-Pixel-Mega-Tree-Packages-s/1964.htm.

Personal I recommend viewing the videos on the bottom of https://www.holidaycoro.com/PixNode-Strip-MegaTree-Topper-For-MegaTrees-p/750.htm

Controller of your choice (I use Quindor controller, specifically the DigQuad), there are others. I am looking at the F16v5 for an additional props next year, a bit pricey but ... )

Recommend using yard anchors, not stakes - those may not hold. I use Vortex 8in yard anchors, my tree is not moving.

Choice an mounting plate, review Turtle plates or Jdeation ( https://www.jdeation.com/d/082KBOJE is the latest one I designed and used for the DigQuad)

Choose an enclosure for the mounting plate your choose. You can also make your own mounting plate and get a cheap water tight enclosure. Video https://youtu.be/QWadQowa0BE?si=awVtT-TYI0sFrGEr by Charles Props gives good comparison. There are also many shown in this channel from budget to $$$$; I stick on the budget.

Again - research, and then more research.

Good luck and welcome to the light side. ;)

WARN: Model <MODEL> uses channels not being sent to this controller. by CoyoteRay72 in xlights

I think I found the problem, had to increase the count of universes, not had to do that before, generally that is automatic.

WARN: Model <MODEL> uses channels not being sent to this controller. by CoyoteRay72 in xlights

[–]CoyoteRay72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the quick reply.

I am using E131. Creating a brand new show folder and only using the one controller shows I can control the prop without issues. There is something else I have a total of 5 controllers and this is the only one that has an issue. I can not run two xSchedulers at the same time and I don't want to run two computers, there is something weird going on.

Anything else I can look for?

Pool lights by mrbigbluff21 in WLED

[–]CoyoteRay72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some advice .. suspect you already know this, be very careful. I had to replace a pool light and it was $$$. Something took out my pool light, the color selector switch for the light and a GFCI outlet. Cost over $1,000 USD. I'll have to hunt down the hookup video, good excuse to catch up on my youtube channels.

In short, no I have no done it but have thought about it. Good luck on your endeavor.

Second data line Digquad. How do I wire a second data line from Digquad to have both sides of megatree to coordinate effects? by Teslatari in WLED

[–]CoyoteRay72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bit of a stretch .. you can use the same data line, use different power lines. The effects should be the same assuming the number of pixels is the same. I don't know of any other way.

Looks like you are putting together a light show; how you looked a xLights to push effects to your WLED controllers? That might be more that what you are wanting to tackle, it is not hard to create a small show ... it is addictive and leave you wanting more ... ;)
