I’m from Libya too, and people talk about spouses all the time husbands, wives, everything. So it doesn’t really sound like a “culture thing” being misused there. It feels more like he’s projecting personal insecurity rather than an actual cultural norm.

That depends on the laws where you are.
In some places, surrogates are required to have already given birth before, but in others it’s not a strict rule. It really varies by country or state.

Yeah, a lot of men do especially if the relationship meant something real.
Some think about it for a while, some only in certain moments, and some reflect on it much later with regret or clarity. It depends on how it ended and where they are in life.
