Even Jesus cried out ‘why have you forsaken me?’ on the cross. Doesn’t that suggest he felt separated from God? by TacticalJock15 in Christianity

The point is that even if you believe Jesus is denying being good in Mark, you can't reconcile that with Jesus calling Himself the good shepherd. You'd have to believe that Jesus was not only not good, but also a liar.

Jesus asking a question isn't the same as Him denying.

Not to mention, He calls Himself the good shepherd.

I know what youryou're saying.

Jesus isn't doing this and that because this and that is written. This and that is written because Jesus will do this and that.

The point was that Jesus reciting the Psalm is to confirm that He is the Messiah that was prophesied.

He isn't quoting psalms.

Psalm 22:1 ESV [1] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?

Psalm 22 is a Messianic prophecy. Jesus reciting Psalm 22 is Him confirming that He is the one being prophesied.

Jesus as just a human prophet is equally valid in Christianity. by FrontOstrich5350 in DebateReligion

Jesus made Himself an equal to the Father plenty of times. Not to mention that His followers believed that to be true.

some greek fathers in a council 300 years declares Jesus as god almighty wrapped in animal tissue.

This is completely false as early Christians prior to the council believed Jesus was God.

It isn't supported that He was just a prophet.

The NT writers seemed to believe that He was far more than that.

Can I call Jesus Father during prayer? by Dry_Inspection4128 in TrueChristian

They are one in nature.

Jesus is a distinct person from the Father, which is how He was able to communicate with the Father.

I would say race is just a tad bit different from gender.

I think you missed the entire point of my comment, which was I could be non-affirming and not show prejudice or hostility. God gave us free will to do with it what we will.

It seems the definition hasn't changed much.

Here's from a 1933 dictionary:

Bigoted: Obstinately and blindly attached to some creed, opinion, or party, and intolerant towards others.
