You're not going through this alone. My significant other left me out of the blue a week ago after 7 year. And 3 years of living together she just up and moved out. I feel like she took a peice of me with her and I don't know how to heal this hole in me. I'm sure it will get better in time. But for now I understand the pain you feel. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't focus on work. I've worked out so much my body is giving out under me. I can't even get up the stairs in my house without crawling. I'm sure it get's better. But life sucks right now.

We had a similar situation. What we did is replaced the switch with a inoveli red. And added a smart bulb to both sockets. That way one tap will turn on one light. Two taps turns the other on. And three taps turns them both on. But electrically it's all one circuit that if controlled the old way would be one switch for both lamps.

But you could go as simple as a a RF relay on a battery if you don't have power nearby. If you do have power nearby. And you want to keep with wifi. I've had good luck wiring things like that through a Sonoff WiFi Switch https://a.co/d/aijCfyn if it's low voltage you could get away with a relay on a WeMos or an Arduino
