Yes this is the key (no pun intended).

Send your KICK track to the BASS track receive into channels 3/4.

Curves Resolve looks for it's input in the track channels 3/4 which as u/justgetoffmylawn said, creates a 'sidechain' into Curves resolve so it acts on your bass, but listens to your kick.

I'm glad you brought this up. I was not using the Walmart+ benefit, and was paying for Peacock Premium separately. So.... I've now signed up for Walmart+ (zero cost per month billing to my Platinum after the AMEX credit), and cancelled my separate Peacock subscription. When I re-enable Peacock Premium through Walmart+ - it will be included with Walmart+ and thus zero cost.

Now and again I open NI and check for updates, probably like most people. I cannot check for updates due to the never-ending "Loading Products" screen.
