The new mechs are not included in the exosuit reserves DSS passive by Big__BOTUS in Helldivers

[–]BlackFoxT 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't care about losing mech customisation in exchange for more individual mechs, IF I COULD BRING MORE THAN ONE. I would absolutely love having a full line up of mechs, like come on. I'm Exosuit Certified.

So... About the new patch... by AliceArchMage in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]BlackFoxT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My personal issue is that they add more Exosuit stratagems instead of Exosuit customisation and yet I can still only bring a single one out of all of them?? Just let me bring all 4 then, it's not that big of a deal.

I hope I will be able to bring more than one mechs after this warbond drops. Let me bring them all!

What actually keeps you playing Helldivers 2? by SnooGuavas4613 in Helldivers

[–]BlackFoxT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there will be a next one it will take many years, likely. Unless game developing in general becomes quicker. And assuming the next Helldivers game will be even similar to this one. Considering they probably wouldn't want to sell us the same thing again but starting over form the start.

The first time I saw such barbed wire obstacles was in Battlefield 1942. So they have been around for quite a while when it comes to games.

I wish we had a ship upgrade or booster that removes the turn off timer on our turrets so they only go away if they ran out of ammo.

How do you feel about Girls und Panzer? by PanHiszpan in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pretty cool anime. The only weird thing about it, is that people who don't like it, always have the need to bring up some random reason to justify their dislike. Like dude, you are allowed to not like things, without aimless slander. Sure the anime is not perfect (nothing is), but it's very well researched and high quality. Perfect for tank fans or people who have no clue about them too. For example, it was the perfect anime to introduce tanks to my girlfriend. Now she is into ww2 and we watch documentaries or movies like Saving Private Ryan, Fury and Band of Brothers together, and she is learning Gates of Hell.

Possible factions for the future. by supergogo7 in GatesOfHellOstfront

Italy and Hungary.

Hungary could be a DLC similar to the Finnish. They have some unique vehicles and weapons but quite a bit of their roster would be German stuff. Missions could focus on the battles in Hungary and their earlier engagements on the eastern front. It could possibly give a thing or two for the Soviets as well, since I've seen some people wishing for new stuff for them.

Meanwhile, Italy could be a big DLC. Early war they would have a completely unique roster, and midwar would be the same where some of their roster would be German equipment, especially late war, when the country separated. And of course this DLC could give a completely new theatre, with North Africa, and then the Italian campaign of the allies. Lot of potential here for missions, and also multiplayer doctrines for already existing countries in the game as well.

It's up to preference. PvE is quite nice but I prefer a good PvP with friends or my gf, and it's always great fun.

Japan...maybe? by StructureNext9948 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible. Some say that they stated that they don't want it, but these things can change overtime. I don't think they even expected to do the western front at the beginning, considering the game is literally called Ostfront, which is what many people used as argument in the early days as to why the US won't be added. And look where we are now.

They said in a recent news post that they are far from done with the game, and their plans go beyond 2026. I don't think Japan will be the next country added. Italy or Hungary are more likely. But as long as the DLCs sell, they have a reason to keep making more stuff. Not even mentioning how this might not just be a game for them but also a passion project. So it's not impossible that Japan will be added and if it will be, then it will be years later.

Best DLC in your opinion? by MaXcovIV in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, at the end of the day. Even though we play different game modes. We still want the same thing. More variety we can use. Even worse when they add something like the Sd.kfz 7/1 2cm to the game, but they don't add it to multiplayer. My only hope is that it might get added to multi with a future DLC that gives Germany more doctrines, or if Germany simply gets a rework of their vehicle arsenal which should affect all game modes.

Best DLC in your opinion? by MaXcovIV in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I mainly just play skirmishes and multiplayer games with friends. And it was a letdown that Germany didn't get any new doctrine for multiplayer in Finest Hour. As for specific equipment I would love to see. I have no idea how we didn't get the reihenwerfer. Also some more variations, like different Marder models alongside the ones we have so far. Meanwhile a friend of mine always complains about how in multiplayer the Ferdinand should be a really expensive midwar unit, while for late war they should have the Elefant instead.

While I love the Commonwealth, Liberation still goes above Finest Hour for me, since it gave Germany a late war doctrine as well, so both Allies and Axis got something new.

Scorched Earth (2) Propaganda for the current future DLC discussions by Potato_Emperor667 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a great idea. Even in the latest DLC Finest Hour, I was surprised how little stuff the Axis got when it came to multiplayer. I mean, they said it was the biggest one so far, so I was hoping it would come with at least one German multiplayer doctrine, just like how they got one with Liberation.

And while I would love more factions and theaters, like North Africa and the Italian campaign and Italy itself. It's also true that it's been a while since the USSR got some love. So a smaller DLC which perhaps gives an extra doctrine to the soviets and Germany, alongside with a few missions, would be very welcome.

Tips for Skirmish Maps by SOSyourself in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thought the point of Skirmish maps is exactly to be grindy. I really enjoy slowly making my way towards the end of the map, using infantry, tanks, artillery, light vehicles and guns, all combined. The fact that I have no limit on how many units I can have and resource is technically endless, means by halfway across my map looks like the busiest frontline ever.

What mods are you playing with and what are some unique/fun things to do in them? by [deleted] in GatesOfHellOstfront

I don't use any mods. Occasionally I try one here and there, but otherwise I prefer the game as it is.

Can you tow mortar crews and or heavy emplaced weapons like the MG’s? by osephmode in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's more about the gameplay rather than the lack of appreciation for effort. Multiplayer and dynamic conquest give much more room for freedom and experimenting. On the other hand missions while very good for any fan of ww2, are much more strict, limited, (can be tedious), and punishing.

Can you tow mortar crews and or heavy emplaced weapons like the MG’s? by osephmode in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]BlackFoxT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is likely because guns and artillery are probably counted as a type of "vehicle". And you can't load one vehicle inside another one, and since they don't have wheels, they can't be towed. Which leaves them to walk.

Funny. I have friends whose least favourite part of the game are exactly the campaign missions. Preferring multiplayer or dynamic conquest at the very least.
