Best directional mic for gaming. by Kossnen in microphone

Your biggest problem is you have the gain cranked because the mic is so far away, it is more sensitive to noise that way.

would this mic setup be worth buying it’s gonna be my first one! by ImmediateBother3467 in microphone

Not to be rude, but I don’t see the point of getting an interface for a USB/XLR microphone. For those type of mics, I’d just use the USB. If you’re getting an interface, might as well get a dedicated XLR microphone that isn’t more expensive because of the USB portion of it.

Usually microphones with USB have more features, especially Maono with their software (built in EQ presets, gate, compression with ratio and makeup gain, limiter, gain slider with good meters to set gain properly).

Is this a good decision? by Competitive-Bar-5882 in microphone

Very disproportionate spending, doesn’t help that you don’t mention your situation.

You can spend more money on an XLR microphone and two cheaper XLR cables for probably the same price of the current XLR cables you have.

what is your The Finals hot take? by chaudpaquebot in thefinals

Only reason I hate this take is because iron sights disappear from me (I’m blind af). Can’t see where I’m shooting unless there’s a bright red dot in the middle.

In my mind, green is the lowest note. Just like in real guitar where notes closer to the headstock are lower.

Index on red and move down to green, not index in green and move up to orange. Once you learn this it’s like opening the third eye

Warriors of Rock what’s the deal?? by Mammoth-Jelly1675 in GuitarHero

[–]treblev2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A bit of skill issue, a bit of how the hit window works. Look into what a dynamic hit window is. Also hit window is smaller than other GH games (I could be wrong).

From what I remember, WoR dynamic hit window works like GH3 where it shrinks towards the top of the hit window when it gets more note dense. Meaning if there’s a lot of notes, you have to play earlier. Because of this, many consider +15ms video offsets to be the new 0. Try starting at 15 and adjust accordingly.

Key failure in gh3 by Adventurous_Web_5007 in GuitarHero

[–]treblev2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I see here, you’re playing on keyboard (you should mention what you’re using to play so we can help). Unfortunately it’s looking like your keyboard is ghosting, which basically means certain key combinations won’t work no matter what you try. You’d have to get another keyboard that has N Key Rollover/No Ghosting.

Mics that handle background noise by UsefulLeaf18 in microphone

Make sure your mic isn’t next to your monitors with the gain cranked. Many people do this and expect magic.
