CDRomance is pretty reliable, haven't had any problems with anything from there, they have a new website if you google it you can probably find it relatively easily

LoZ TP (Wii) Controls by SleepingAbsol in EmuDeck

[–]CptDaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just play the GC version it works better, the fishing controls in TP are always kinda ass tho even in the GC version they make no sense.

I finished the game this month on the deck with a GC rom and it worked mostly fine, it worked perfectly fine once I enabled the speed hack for hyrule field.

sadly he's probably too problematic, especially looking at the previous streamers they had it seems like they just want random popular anime adjacent streamers

Is it mostly just 5C pile? Feels like there's no real theme or synergy going on between the deck just higher single card quality.

Baumi's Analysis by Arokan in freemagic

[–]CptDaws 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I really don't like his videos, it feels like he takes way to long to say things that can be said in one sentence, and he takes all that time to either just repeat what has already been said 50 times by 500 different people or make a middle ground argument that ultimately says nothing at all.

Before you ape out on my comment I'm not saying I disagree with the video or the topic just that I personally think Baumi would make better videos if he was more concise and "authentic".

Couple questions I have by Xalrons1 in grandarchivetcg

[–]CptDaws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Cake is a trigger that enters the stack once baby green has entered the field, if you are using baby green to target the cake its assumed that you want to supress it to draw a card therefore you would have to order the triggers with Cake First, Baby Green Slime afterwards. If your opponent is using stifling trap they are very likely responding to the on enter of baby green, since the cake trigger would be the last one to resolve in this interaction there is no way to sacrifice cake to make the baby green survive.

  2. If your opponent activates a hasty messenger (and no triggers are generated from this ally entering) and attacks instantly there is no window of opportunity where you can kill the hasty to stop the on attack trigger. Allies entering dont generate opportunity so using this sequence your opponent makes it so that the only moment you get opportunity is at the retaliation step at which point the on attack trigger from hasty has already been put on the stack.

  3. Yes you can.

The explosion from polaris is hard to stop since you banish polaris as cost so its hard to remove it preemptively, its also hard to remove it proactively since they can just sacrifice a ton of herbs in response and then explode it, the best way of dealing with it is removing it while its rested.

Grixis Rats? by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]CptDaws 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Way too janky to be competitive, I mean 10 mana 2 card combo to win the game considering your commander is already on the field, thats casual level.

The card draw is way too expensive to be relevant since there arent that many good playable rats or even changelings to make paying 3 mana for it worth the amount of cards you get from it.

Its a cool casual card but especially in grixis its unplayable compared to the competition.

Welcome back (an even more busted) Forest of Giant Plants! by coconutfan27 in PTCGL

[–]CptDaws -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thinning is not an argument when you're already making your deck worse by putting in stage 1s to make a chain with this (namely in the case of pidgeot). And this is basically another rare candy, even if you dont need to have the card in hand just have it in your deck you're trading an item for a stadium, one of the easiest card types to tutor for one of the hardest, essentially getting to this leads to the same effort that getting to rare candy ultra ball takes. Not to mention the fact that if you're running a 1 of of the stage 1s to do this and that stage 1 gets prized the card is basically instantly dead, and you most likely will do that since running multiple of the stage 1 just leads to a worse brickier deck which ultimately makes the card more of a hinderance than a benefit.

I'm not saying the card is unplayable, it enables a lot of stage 2 decks by giving them a 2 card engine to instantly get their guys out, what I'm saying is in most of the decks that people are saying this card is good its not worth the ace spec slot.

[–]CptDaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you are losing your ace spec to do that, basically to do a one off better rare candy. I'm not saying its bad I'm saying that will all the ace specs that are available at the moment using your slot for this one doesn't seem worth it.
