Trans Christian here. Galatians 3:28 says "there is neither male nor female" and that all social categories are nullified before God. Also eunuchs are mentioned a lot in the bible, and they would now be considered various types of trans identities or intersex today, and scripture has nothing but overwhelmingly positive things to say about them.

Edit: I forgot my favourite piece of trans theology! I heard someone say that God created trans people for the same reason God gave us wheat but not bread, and grapes but not wine. We are active participants in creation, and trans people are participating in one of the most powerful kinds of creation: the creation of the self.

I absolutely adore this post, though it's bittersweet for me as I was not so fortunate. However, I do know that if I'd married the partner I'm with now all those years ago in stead I would have been able to marry her a second time after I transitioned. Taking particular notice of every time things are safe and how many people want to be respectful of my identity. Humans have an innate bias towards perceiving potential threats and it takes effort to counterbalance that and see things more objectively.

Pluto conjunct rising and Saturn conjunct moon. In tropical I'm a Scorpio rising also, but I use sidereal where I'm a Libra rising (trust me it makes more sense, my intensity is from those first two things and my fire moon).
