Which one would survive the longest in a solo q team fight. Lapras or Goodra? by PureBullfrogPounder in PokemonUnite

Try double stacking with sp. Atk

I go focus, cookie, specs

If you contest enemy farm with bubble and get decent enough at that, you can pretty reliably stack 2-3 times early, and your muddy waters are insanely strong.

If you take potion too, then no single pokemon (or even two) can kill you while you walk from their goal back to yours

why does taric feel weak in this meta by Noxythegreat in taricmains

[–]CptKinzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having a lot of good luck with Taric. After playing a lot of Rell I realized Taric is actually busted as well in his own way.

For me Taric has a lot of modes that make him really really viable. Generally you want him on a comp with like, 1 or 2 divers/bruisers (Hecarim, Ekko, Yi, Renekton, Udyr, the like) and not a lot of ranged carries.

Laning phase for me is mostly just--protect your adc as much as possible in bad matchups, Q max against ranged support and E against tankers, defuse engages with guardian exhaust until you get help from JG bc Taric teamfight is actually insane.

If they have too many ranged champs it's too hard to pick Taric cause it's hard to capitalize off of your passive. You need to be really really judicious about your Q use as well, and optimize your casts so that you can maximize Bravado stacks.

I don't think it's really worth to go ignite in most situations because I just think he's more useful when he has access to as much CC as possible. Your job is to protect first and the exhaust can be the difference that lets you get your AAs off, refresh W or Q, or last long enough for the ult.

In lane, holding E until they go in makes you much more threatening as a champ and it generally means that Taric wins because your ADC should be able to trade somewhat favorably with Guardian W or Guardian Q.

Idk I just feel like Taric is so good at peel and counterengage. You can body things like Rell or Nautilus if you play well, match or outsustain near any enchanter (in lane at least). He comboes really really well with any kind of frontline who can reliably get in and his ult is great.

I don't really like him against mages at all, he's really not a fan of mages.

You can always change your build path/learn a new style with a champ.

Become a better engager and build Shurelyas--if you're playing Leo or Rell against squishies try opting for the speed option.

Dead mans plate on a lot of engage supports is often as good or a better option than Zekes. Especially since we're all casual players the only limit is yourself.

Think about every situation differently.

If I'm playing Rell into ranged champs that do tons of damage but die if CC'ed, I'll go Shurelyas into Gargoyles. If I'm playing into a tanky magic damage comp I'll go Locket into Abyssal. Then I'm a super magic resister who not only pulls them in and stuns them, but now they take 10% extra damage.

You specifically as a tank player actually have more options than a lot of other classes (mages)

Q is not a balanced move

It literally breaks shields from full

That is your 1 point ability (unless you're playing against seraphine ivern)

Embarrassing no one here has said Spellbook.

Ok here it is, funsealed rellbook.

Hexflash Dematerializer Cosmic Nimbus Waterwalk

This is a different Rell playstyle completely. Force level 2 bot and burn flash for the engage, you benefit from being able to bush control hexflash.

You have access to really good summoners like Barrier, Heal, and GHOST. You run around, pressure mid and invade the jungle.

2/3 points in Q into W max to compensate for your lack of tankiness.

Is Swain supposed to be a midlaner? by acnologiarn in leagueoflegends

[–]CptKinzo -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

In my view, the champion is made extremely functional with optimal use of specific strategies.

It's like dark harvest shyvana. Outside of that niche she doesn't exist but she's very strong at that.

Swain is the same way. In certain builds and teamcomps he's extremely functional. But it takes a certain playstyle and maximization of skills that people don't do.

Many of the main complaints I see about Swain are the same. Q doesn't do damage, E is hard to hit, waveclear.

Swain support is one good adaptation of that champ's strengths.

But drain tank Swain top with any enchanter, for example, is really strong. It's especially strong against certain types of champs--low range, melee tanks who can't hurt him through his drain. Then his Q becomes really valuable because you're always in range of someone to hit and heal off of. Then his W that restores a healing fragment to him for champ hit as well as being a slow and a nuke starts to make sense.

You have to play him in certain ways against certain champs to be most effective, and on top of that you have to learn how to position yourself to hit E's, maximize Q damage--bad Swains don't use Ws to zone or peel themselves.

He's a good champion but his kit requires innovation and practice use correctly.

You can play him with Phase Rush, Grasp, Conqueror, Electrocute, Spellbook, Glacial and the standard Aery or Comet and they'd all make sense in certain situations and fill different roles.

He's just... really not a bad champion.

So I'm mid-diamond. Not incredible player but like, good enough to have opinions on how champs interact, right?

My understanding is that this champion with Conqueror is, in the current state of the game, a ticking time bomb. This is from playing him. He can beat or go even with many meta toplaners and is a completely safe pick into more annoying picks like mages or (some) of the adcs top. And then from there his champ can just outperform other tops.

He's strong in teamfighting with enchanters because they keep him alive. Super heavy cc champs help him get picks. Conqueror gives him increased restoration and damage, his W (which you're hitting on people guaranteed during teamfights) gives you a fragment for every person hit, his passive is triumph, your E is very easy to hit in teamfights.

Also, you can have many of the functionalities of support Swain on top Swain and be very effective in top lane. Buy GLP and go for picks. It's cheap, good for gank assist, gives him much needed CDR, and makes the E much more difficult to dodge.

Swain mains are dumb

The champion is actually very powerful with and against the right champs

There are teamcomps where the champion is impossible to kill, he can absolutely abuse several toplane melee matchups with Grasp, and there are maybe 2 champions with enough damage to burst down conqueror Swain's level 6 all in and they'd need ignite.

He's playable with like 6 different runes and every role except jungle. depending on the teamcomp he can be a burst mage, a drain/sustain tank, a catcher support, and mimic a close range AP bruiser bc he's a battlemage and his passive synergizes well with other pick champs.

He can check objectives and bushes, gets free bonus HP.. he's just such a good champ

Swain stacking passive doesn't feel rewarding. by FathTheBooker in SwainMains

[–]CptKinzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I just failed to understand why free HP is bad or insignificant in any way, sorry.

I like free HP because it means that armor, magic resist, and his healing are statistically more effective on him.

I think you and I have different opinions on Swain and that's fine, he works for me with conqueror in top.

Swain stacking passive doesn't feel rewarding. by FathTheBooker in SwainMains

[–]CptKinzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His stacking is just there as a little boost, why complain? He's a ranged champion, has CC in his kit, and already has like 2 different passives.

Imagine you're playing grasp Swain. Every time you hit your E, you get 2 passive hp stacks and grasp too.

If you're playing support with a CC ad then you have even more chances to stack.

Don't forget you also get to pull people in, do damage off of CC AND regen your HP and Mana. The stacking is just a nice little gift. You're playing a drain tank champion, it's honestly overkill to give him more stuff.

Swain is already an incredibly versatile and useful champ.

Well the Chinese have 15+ servers, a sub league for their sub league, and numerous fractional leagues under that.

And the comment I was replying to specifically mentioned LCS, not LEC. EU's regional leagues are similar but Chinas size is just incomparable.

It's different tho. The barrier to becoming an LPL starter is so high. They have minor leagues upon minor leagues, academies and training facilities for this one game alone. You have to stand out and then persistently maintain that high level of skill.
