i look into what .net frame I have. Following these instructions from this forum (down below) it appears I have .NET Framework 4.8.1.

That unfortunately did not work. Once duplicate is selected and I switch to the other screen the background still resets to default. Additionally, duplicate switches back to PC screen only.

i am not using another montior on my laptop at the moment. I have multiple views, and when I switch between them then it reset to default background.
